Field sequential glasses have been found on eBay. That would do it for you.

Those won\'t work for what he\'s talking about. Friday the 13th part 3D was filmed with a different type of 3D process that allowed the film to stay in color. In the theaters you only needed polarized glasses (not the red/blue kind, the ones that you get for 3D laser light shows). However, the system that recreates it for home viewing uses the shutter glasses which basically flickers back and forth rapidly between both eyes so that you\'re only viewing the film through one eye at a time (though you barely notice) to give the illusion of 3D.

Razor 3D are the only ones I persoanlly know of...though I\'m sure there are other systems. I have a set and they are pretty cool!

I have an original pair of the theater glasses will those work at home too?

No

Blush

Ahhh...thanks for the info. Although slightly embarrassed, I\'m now a little more up to speed on 3-D technology.
Smile

No problem Smile And no need to be embarrassed...I used to think the same thing until I started looking into buying them. Then I found out there was a lot more to it than I realized.

If I remember correctly, it\'s the way it is projected in the theaters that makes it not work the same at home. There are only a couple theaters in the country that can show it. I live near the George Eastman House which has an incredible archive of just about every film there is. They even have a theater where they show movies nightly and that\'s where I saw it. They have the equipment to show it, plus they have an actual silver screen which I\'m not sure is necessary, but enhances the effect. Anyway, the opnly way to reproduce the effect at home is with those field sequential glasses which need to be hooked up to a box that gets hooked up to your DVD player.

Let me get this straight if I were to buy the right type of 3d glasses I could then watch the dvd in full 3d while in the comfort of my own home? No need to buy anything else?

didnt the 3D phrase in the movie also just indicate how that the film used different camera angles with pop-out props....such as the eyeball and the snake??
