It involves some work.....

Make a urethane casting in the newly repaired mold. Smooth-On\'s "Brush-on 40" is a good choice.
Afterwards....Stuff the casting with plastic bags and remold it with a flexible material such as silicone. Then once the new mold is made, pour your clay (pref, a firm grade) and do a slush...
Get a thickness of up to an inch. Then fill it with rigid foam. You now have a light weight head you can retool the surface and remove inperfections/add detail. Once you\'re happy, do a typical stone mold.

Thanks, man. It does seem like a lot of work. Now, I spoke to a member over at MM.NET about that smooth-on stuff. He used it as a master copy, so I\'ve actually been looking into that stuff. :thumbsup:

Just wanted to let you all know that I did go with a clay-press for this mold and that it was a success!! The back half of the mold shattered while trying to separate the halves, and I had to destroy the face of the mold in order to properly remove the sculpture. If I had not done that, the sculpture would have split, leaving the face of the sculpture in the face of the mold. So, the Hide and Seek 81 mold is no longer, but the sculpture remains. I\'ll have pics up later on.. :thumbsup:

well it looks pretty rough but i bet once you get one painted and haired , it\'ll be alot better as you can always cover up the seam with hair and shading . keep us posted on how it turns out . it looks to be a really nice myers mask .

Thanks, but remember, this is a clay-press. It\'s not a latex pull. I\'ll tool out the imperfections you see in the Clay...

Working title BTW...
A ways from being done yet, just thought I\'d let you all see it so far... I have to say it\'s fun. Hard, but fun. I\'ve never sculpted before, and even starting where someone left off has been a challenge. I decided to make it into a K@#$i%$#r$#@k mask and have changed a bit, but the basic H & S is still visible. Please let me know what you all think. I respect opinions, so don\'t be afraid to express yours..

Well, I didn\'t like the last pic I took of it. Seeing it in a pic, I was unhappy with what I had seen, so I made some quick changes and am adding some more shots..
