The blur is an effect called soft focus that you can do after the fact within the camera. It works best on semi distanced shots like these. I think that the wider angle adds to the effect.I'm glad everyone likes the pics. This mask is just too awesome for words.

that's awesome man. I've got a pic of that exact mask *I'm pretty sure* on my computer laying next to a knife. One of my favorite mask pics. It's cool to see where the mask is now. Excellent score man. very cool.
