Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - WHATSINTHEBOX? - 09-01-2007 WELL FOLKS ITS ABOUT TIME SOMEONE STARTED A THREAD LIKE THIS. LETS SEE THA LAST FILM I SAW IN A THEATER WAS HANNIBAL. I WENT TO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A DECENT NEIGHBORHOOD AT THE LAST SHOWING. ALL I CAN SAY IS I WAS SURROUNDED BY A BUNCH OF LOW LIFE MUTHER FREAKIN SUM MUM A BITCHES. TALKING, LAUGHING, CELL PHONE USAGE, CHILDREN, YES BREAST FEEDING, UP AND DOWN, IN AND OUT. NOT A CALM QUIET MOMENT. I HAD PLANNED TO SEE HALLOWEEN AND DRESS UP AND DO THE PICS STUFF FOR THE LEGION OF MICHAEL BUT SOMETHING TOLD ME TO WAIT TILL TONIGHT OR PERHAPS SUNDAY. LOOK FOLKS SOCIETY IS GETTING WORSE. IGNORANCE IS TOLERATED. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR IS EVERYWHERE AND EVERYPLACE. Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - liquidaluminum - 09-01-2007 Well here's my two cents on this matter. We were in the same boat when Elizabeth and I went to go see 1408. It was a packed house and we had to sit right beside these 3 annoying little teenages that couldn't have been more than 16. Without going into detail, lets just say that words were exchanged, threats were made and they spent the rest of the movie sitting there little butts down in quiet and watching the movie. The problem isn't us at all. I'm 29 and it wasn't like that when I went to the movies when I was a kid. When I was there age you MIGHT have 1 or 2 people that would make asses out of themselves but once someone spoke up to them they kept their little traps shut and the movie was peaceful. The problem is manners and the lack there of in today's generation. MOST kids have no respect for anything anymore.I don't blame the internet or TV and movies as so many people do these days. I blame poor parenting. The internet might not have been around when I was a kid, but TV and Movies sure were and I don't remember doing anything like that. My parents taught me right from wrong, and if I did something wrong, my butt got busted over it. Kids today get into trouble for the same thing, over and over again. When I did something wrong...I knew that I was taking a chance...I had to think about it for a second and wonder if I'd get caught, because I knew what would happen if I did. It's not like that anymore, Now it's damn near illegal to spank a kid for anything and while some of you might not agree with spanking your kids that's up to you, but let me tell you this...had it not been for me getting my butt busted when I deserved it, I wouldn't have learned and I'd probably be in jail right now. Parents need to educate their children and disipline them accordingly if they're just not getting the message. It's not us it's them. It's not the internet...it's poor parenting, plain and simple. Hope this didn't offend anyone and if for some reason it did...I've got kids, so I have room to talk...LOL.-Joseph Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - IbDaToNeGuY - 09-01-2007 well when i went thursday night , there was this group of maybe 4-5 teens around the age 16 or 17 i guess and they would not stop laughing . and i'm not talking about maybe a funny line or whatever , i'm talking non-stop laughing and one dude that tried to look like michael myers but really to me looked more like Bob , started clapping real loud when he noticed something from the original . but other than that , i had a great time . mike, Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - vezolution - 09-01-2007 <!--QuoteBegin-liquidaluminum+Sep 1 2007, 10:43 AM<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(liquidaluminum @ Sep 1 2007, 10:43 AM)</div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--QuoteEBeginIt's not us it's them. Barely anyone in the theatre. Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - Rahl - 09-01-2007 And this is the main reason why I watch movies at home on my 120" screen. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\" ![]() Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - Willowman - 09-01-2007 I rarely go to the theatre since I threatened to beat the shit out of a group of teenagers while watching the first Pirates of the Caribbean. The crowd at Halloween last night was atrocious. The girl sitting next to me almost knocked me out every five seconds with her flailing. She also felt the need to text the entire film(I had to suppress the urge to take her phone and throw it across the theatre). Then you get all of the rednecks around here shouting at the screen, like that\'s going to make a difference in the outcome of the movie.It\'s rare that I hit the theatre, but I had to for Halloween. It\'s too damn stressful for me. Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - Punisher - 09-01-2007 I took a vacation day yesterday to spend the day with my fiance and we went to a 1:20 showing in Indy. Only us, a few adults, and a small group of "mall-metal" kids who either ditched class or dropped out. No problems on this end. That's why I don't go to movies at night anymore. I normally try to hit up the movies for an evening showing on a weekday. It's a much easier crowd to digest. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\" ![]() Anyone Else Have A Prob W/ The Crowd @ Halloween? - shummy - 09-01-2007 I have a home theater as well but just not the same as seeing it in the theaters. My son is 13 and my wife let's me take him to any horror movie I want as long is there is not a lot of nudity in it - as long as he keeps his grades up my wife has given the green light on the violence and the language ( somewhat - can't see Grindhouse just yet).Anyway - it is the parenting could not agree more. Can't stop going to the see the films - if you do then the quality of the films will get worse as the home market does not drive the production.I try to see films with him only during the day - he prefers it that way too. Last time we went to see a horror film at night was last years resident evil and he complained the whole time about the other kids continued talking and laughing.- on a muh more important note - How was the movie ?Here is a quick pic of my new piece I got in today as well. mask of the red death from Phantom of the Opera - got this to go along side my new chaney bust !!!I hope everyone has a great Labor dayshummy<img src=\"http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m144/shummy666/phantomred002.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m144/shummy666/reddeath004.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m144/shummy666/kueblerphantom2sepia.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> |
