Butterfingers - ColdBlooded Killer - 10-08-2007 It's a great mask. I could only keep one freddy, so I sold the spfx and kept this one. Butterfingers - dean7879 - 10-08-2007 good choice chad. sweet setup too. Butterfingers - Mick7 - 10-08-2007 one word..AMAZING Butterfingers - Dr Channard - 10-08-2007 It's like comparing apples to oranges - the butterfingers is a great looking bust while the silicone freddie is a sick wearable mask. I think the butterfingers really captures the essence of freddie - i would love to see what Peter Murphy could do with it if he got his hands on a blank.I'm a little biased i guess but how can a static non movable latex mask compare to this? CLICK HEREIf it was a charater like a zombie maybe you could get away with a letex mask, but freddie is so animated and talks and says things like "what are you looking at bitch!" with a mouthful of rotten teeth - with a latex mask you get a silent freddie which takes away from the character big time IMO. Butterfingers - Voorhees Curse - 10-08-2007 I agree with Matt (Channard) on this one. As we all know the original Freddy makeup was foam latex appliances, so it's easier to capture Englunds likeness with a LATEX mask. It's easily going to look more like what you actually see on screen in the NOES films compared to the silicone Fred. Personally I think Butterfingers is the best Fred out there right now. The SPFX freddy is the best wearable Fred out there without a shadow of a doubt in my opinion. Although....if you really stop to think about it, you really need someone with almost the EXACT same shaped head as Englund to wear the SPFX Fred for it to look 'right' so to speak. Just my two cents. I understand what your saying about it being different Doc, and I agree. I am talking about the likeness of Robert Englund. The character definately comes out better with a silicone mask, but I think the Butterfingers nails his look better is all. I really hope someone will come out with a brand new silicone Fred... Butterfingers - Voorhees Curse - 10-08-2007 Take this picture for example:To me, in this picture of Jeff wearing his silicone Fred....he looks almost EXACTLY like Robert Englund in makeup. So...congrats Jeff you make the perfect fred in the SPFX freddy. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Butterfingers - goodoletime - 10-08-2007 I know this shouldn't be said but Mark Goodson HAD to have something to do with this peice. I've owned many peices from Mark and the finishing work and parts of the sculpture scream his style. with that said Crash your pic is the bomb!!!! Awesome peice Butterfingers - dean7879 - 10-08-2007 <!--quoteo(post=240725:date=Oct 8 2007, 05:41 AM:name=Dr Channard)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(Dr Channard @ Oct 8 2007, 05:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecIt's like comparing apples to oranges - the butterfingers is a great looking bust while the silicone freddie is a sick wearable mask. The butterfingers is a perfect fit for me and the accuracy to freddy is unbelievable. If only bear would of made a silicone copy like he said he would. I do agree, the butterfingers likeness is great - i think a lot has to do with the nose which looks better than the silicone which maybe needed to be fatter due to the fit...not sure but it is a little too wide IMO |
