If the fit feels weird and you want to redo it, just melt it down and do it again.

How quickly do they ship? I generally like to at least make contact before ordering from anyone new. Also since they are made out of acrylic material, can you modify them with acrylic paint?

they are made from dental acrylic. I would not modify them with just regular acrylic paint. I have gotten 3 or 4 sets from them in the past and had no problems whatsoever. I even asked them to overnight me a pair and they did it no problem.Tommy

I tried the putty stuff for the cheap ones, and the fit seems a little thick. But I don't think I can modify the putty? It simply stays solid and does not soften in hot water. The piece in general seems kinda thick, and would seem impossible to to fit with bottom ones at the same time. It is kinda like having buck teeth. The ones from DD look thinner from the pics, are they? I guess I will have to buy a lot of pellets somewhere to try these cheaper ones again as I don't think the putty is meltable. Should there be a slit that your teeth slide down into, or just the impression to snap on? Also I think the bulky and heaviness causes the piece to pull down and off more.Need something a lot lighter and thinner.

the DD sets are the lightest you will find. They are only "fronts" so to speak. They do not fit over your teeth like a pair of dentures would over your gums. You actually use the thermoplastic beads to mold them to your teeth. You melt the beads, roll up a long "snake-like" tube and press it into the back plate of the front. There is a hole on each side of the front to anchor the thermoplastic. you then place them into the desired place against you teeth and press it in firmly. Close your mouth and suck in. I always use a little more thermoplastic to form a cap of the bottoms of my teeth just to give me a little extra hold, though i have never ever had any problems with them coming out on me...Take care,Tommy

Yeah I saw that on the site. I did the same thing with the "stay put" putty but it looks like you only get one chance. The mold was good I made, and the first I ever did, but the piece is a little too thick and has kind of a high gum. Just fronts would solve that problem. I looked for pellets online but seen none you could buy, even on the DD site. But as long as I can keep reusing the pellets it would be fine. The putty also went through the holes, and created the anchor. At least I got some practice for the real things whenever I get them. But can you by more pellets anywhere? Or once you get a perfect fit will the mold last forever or need changing? Does it come off the teeth easily f the anchors are cut?

in the kit you get from dd...they give you info on buying more thermoplastic, though you can just remelt what you have. The mold will last forever as long as you take care of it. This means brushing them and scoping them after you wear them, drying them properly and then sealing them up when not in use. Otherwise the next time you open them...you will have a science experiment growing in your teeth and then you really won't need to do any repainting of any kind...lol. All you have to do to get the thermoplastic off the teeth is to drop the entire thing in the hot water. You will have to do that anyway to the front by themselves to get them to curve properly with your own teeth. If you want me to, i can take a few pics of some of my sets to give you an idea of what i am talking about...let me know...Take care,Tommy

Thanks, great pics! Those are indeed thin. So how do they stay on your upper teeth without falling down? Do they snap on, and stay in place with your upper lip? Also can you close your mouth easily with top and bottom teeth in? I can see how the bottoms would stay on as they sit on top and have the aid of gravity. The ones I have now are too thick and push your lip out too far making them look like a mouthpiece, not teeth. Can't wait to try these. Although I still have yet to hear from DD. I hope they ship faster than they respond, or maybe I will just use eBay to order from a wholesaler.

the snap right in....you don't need anything extra to hold them in place. I was skeptical as well on whether or not they would stay and they stay no problem at all. I have one all of my pairs for several hours at a time with no problems whatsoever. You can close you mouth normally on the "normal" sets. With the werewolf set i also have, there is no way due to the size of the teeth...Take care,Tommy
