Here's my advice for shy men.... take an acting class. Not to learn how to act, but to learn how to get over your inner feelings and become more of an extrovert. I was quite shy as a kid and then I took a drama class in High School and became quite outgoing. I dared to do things I never thought I'd do as my shy self. You become more confident in yourself and stop caring so much about what others think of you. You just finally are able to break free of your inner chains and really show people who you really are. I was able to approach women a lot easier after that... although I didn't have to given I wound up in a two-year relationship during high-school. But I learned very well how to overcome those inner fears and take charge. Take acting classes not to learn how to act but to get over yourself.
