Jason bought that mask from me; when I ordered the Hockey Mask from SSN, I had them replace the standard elastic straps with the more screen-accurate leather ones [weathered, of course]. I also requested that the inside of the mask be painted. Beyond that, everything that\'s on the mask was from the creative talents of Brad Hardin. He did an OUTSTANDING job. To me, that was the quintessential New Blood Hockey Mask!

Also they look really thick and I know the \'real\' movie hockey masks were pretty thin. .060 abs or styrene I believe.
So, in a nutshell. Are the hockey masks \'really\' coming off of a movie mold? Particularly the X Hockey Mask. Cuz I\'m getting damn sick and tired of waiting for my trioxin X Hockey Mask, it\'s been almost 2 years and I\'m really thinking maybe I should just give up on the wait and maybe get one from SSN.
Opinions? Thoughts? Does anyone have any \'behind the scenes\' info on the molds? Pugsly? Warlock? Trav? GB?

SSN\'s hockey masks are NOT direct from the original molds. Their hockey masks are from rather odd-looking copy molds, and are most likely second or third generation copies...They do derive from the original mold in some form, but they\'re not actually directly FROM it.

I bet the SSN stuff is great...man we really need to have a discussion about what to do with 245trioxin...it\'s been about a year since I sent him money for a mask that was already made...bill and everyone who\'s been ripped off by him hit me up in PM or email so we can discuss options...

Yeah, every couple months I write them and get an email back asking for my address and get told that it\'s, "coming soon" but nothing ever shows up. I was even told that I would get something \'extra\' for waiting so long. I told him the Cobra Commander hood would be pretty cool. But yeah, so far nothing. I believe I ordered my X Hockey Mask in March of 2004 and was told I\'d have it in a matter of weeks. Ha ha, weeks he said.
It really does piss me off though, I just don\'t get it. There\'s 2 guys that run the site, one is in England and one is in Canada. The one in England seems pretty cool and has even expressed frustration that he doesn\'t understand what the problem is with the guy in Canada. Plus the guy in England, I think his name is Joe, actually responds to my emails. But yeah, I\'m pretty sick of waiting for that X Hockey Mask. I\'m getting one from SSN hopefully tomorrow night once I get a paypal account working again.
