Is there anything that can be sprayed on jacks to make them last longer? I bought some Pumpkin Fresh shit online and it sucks! I live in FL, so it\'s a bit warmer than most places this time of year.

I\'ve read that if you dry the completed pumpkin well and put petroleum jelly (vaseline) on all the cut surfaces, it\'s supposed to slow the absorption of moisture and mold growth of those areas. I\'m trying that now, but since I only made them yesterday I\'ll have to wait and see how long they last.
