The longer the dwell time, the thicker your pull.
What are you making the mold out of?
If Hydrocal.......you\'d let it dwell for considerably less time than if you are using Ultracal 30.

There are SOOOOO many factors when making a \'thick\' pull. Thick means different things to everyone. Humidity, temp, mold material, altitude (altitude?) all these are factors. Trial and error and personal preference, but it in the end it really does come down to either dwell time or multiple pours. That\'s about it in a nut shell :wink:

Yeah Mark and Frosty what the hell would you guys know about making latex masks anyway. Don\'t you know its alot easier to just add a bunch of chemicals rather than taking the time to let it dwell. sheesh <_< <_<

Hey no worries there, i just thought that would be the easiest method, and i assumed he would be using a plaster (or gypsum) mould.
I have been making masks for years and never heard of those extra ingrediants!, i don\'t think they are available over here, we have latex thickener which is basically a thixotropic that makes the latex thicker, but thats about it, i don\'t use it that much as it takes forever to dry.

Yea i just checked out monstermakers they got somthing for a thick latex pulls, this is what im using and ill have to buy the thicnkner later, but im gonna try your guys ideas first. i just bought this White Hydro Cal 200 pounds of it , Chemlease 88 a full case of chemlease, abunch of hair, and gallons and gallons of latex. this is all for the winter.

seems to me you should just TRY making a thicker pull...
pour, drain, blow out airbubbles...
repour, long dwell, drain, dry for 20 minutes...repeat
like mark said there is so many factors and techniques
IMO... I would try that first before I bought all kinds of crap I don\'t need. but I guess it is too late.
