Jason Mask - Fael - 03-15-2006 Quote:I believe thats the one the Brazilian artist Alex Oliver was flaunting on the HMA 3-4 years ago. The mold was bought by Joe Clift (Horror Hockey Masks) and it died with his business. A few blanks have showed up on eBay since then. I don\'t know if they are coming from Joe, the artists or a mystery 3rd party. Here is some pics of the painted sculpture, and the first pull from the mold posted by Joe on his message board before it went down: Hey, Ohhhhhhh!!! I love that part 3 !!! looks like original movie pics!!! Amazing !!!  Jason Mask - Pugsly - 03-15-2006 Yes a Hockey Mask from joe clift was used for the shape of the VS hockey masks.,They made cast of one filled it and then redrilled all the holes to the specs of the way they wanted them............yea and i am pretty sure that part 4 was painted by someone else.Frank from Efexalive sent me pics of that exact part 4 that the [pics were posted of(the exact pic)and said a guy in Cali, cant remeber his name had sculpted that mask and that was the one he painted. But then again who knows.... Jason Mask - Golgo 13 - 03-15-2006 I believe your right about the Jerry Constantine guess. At one point NFX Studios (Jason Zyla) was going to start offering the \'Mauler\' and a part 8 mask sculpted by the same artist. That all fell through and so did NFX. The common theme in all the collapsed mask makers seems to be talentless wanabees who bought/stole other people work and tried to make a quick buck. Some where passionate (JZ) but just didn\'t have \'it\'. I\'m happy some people ended up with these pieces of art after all that. Quote:The sculpter of that mask also did a killer Cropsy from \'the Burning\'. I am pretty sure his name was Jerry Constantine or something along those lines. Also, I think that was the copy he painted himself. Jason Mask - goaliehack - 03-15-2006 Quote:I believe your right about the Jerry Constantine guess. JZ was never going to offer any of Constantines pieces, but comissioned a part 8 done by Neil Goldsmith called \'Manhattan Mauler\'. The little hitch in the name is what through everyone off. The Manhattan Mauler made it into production actually by Neil Himself, I had probably the 5th one he did and it was deffiently cool for the price! Jason Mask - Indica x - 03-15-2006 Quote:is his hockeys really that good? if newline got one and recasted it must A+ Hockey Mask No not really. first off the they were recasts of cropsy\'s masks which were cast off screen used. Second off his paint jobs were certainly subpar compared to other makers who were out at the time. Most likely Newline just ran a google search and those were the first and/or cheapest to come up. Jason Mask - Andy - 03-15-2006 Joe is still selling on the bay, check out ebay ID nightmareprops. Hit up his feedback then check the last one from the buyer, scroll down the completed auction to the payment details and there you\'ll find his name and full addy in KY  As for his hockey masks, well the first ever mask I bought many years ago was a part 3 Hockey Mask from Joe and at the time I thought it was the best mask in the world, doesn\'t everyone love their first, er, score :whistling: Still own it today and I\'ll never part with it just because it was my first. Nice shape but very simple paint job. Jason Mask - Last_of_the_Brunnen-G - 03-15-2006 I\'ll post, or rather get antisocial1 to post, pics of the Mauler mask I also won. I wish I hadn\'t sold the first couple of things I had got. ad: Jason Mask - josephchoi - 03-15-2006 wheelspin u should repaint it into a VS Hockey Mask lol Jason Mask - Golgo 13 - 03-15-2006 No, he was also making deal for the HHM part 4, re-dubbed the Morgue Mauler, as well as the afore mentioned Cropsy Maniac from the Burning: Old NFX Link I was waiting for this with baited breath, but it never happened.
