How Much Of The Mask Will We See In Zombie's H2 - TheChosenOne - 04-08-2009 This is madness! What's next? A JAWS remake without the shark?? How Much Of The Mask Will We See In Zombie's H2 - EverythingJason - 04-08-2009 LOL, if that's true RZ should join the likes of Michael Bay at Platinum Dunes with their great visions of delivering "quality" horror films to the masses. I hear these guys are there just for the fans to deliver exactly what they want, lmfao. But at the end of the day all the ranting and raving doesn't do a thing because people will still be suckered in and watch this junk on the big screen just because they have watched all the other films, which in return will only water the product down even more the next time around. How Much Of The Mask Will We See In Zombie's H2 - WarLocK - 04-08-2009 Man, I hate this. Of course I'm going to see the movie because It's HalloweeN. But after watching that first pile of junk... I'm really hesistant. I respect RZ as an artist and enjoy his music... but I think he really has no business taking over franchises like HalloweeN. It saddens me.I can get over Michael being revealed through a portion of the movie. But no mask for most of it? That is a little overboard. Watching a hobo Tyler Mane walk around tearing things up like a madman isn't exactly frightening to me. Rob better not have him speak!Lowering my expectations is the best I can do here... I don't think I'll ever bother watching the first RZ H again. But H3 was actually a good movie all on its own. Rob's HalloweeN not only didn't have the original feel, the character portrayal left me with an empty feeling. It seemed like a fan film with great cinematography and decent acting. CRAP How Much Of The Mask Will We See In Zombie's H2 - Crash - 04-08-2009 I don't really care either way and I'm not really up to date on the storyline, but take this into account . . .What if we get to see Myers a lot in candid moments? Like him living out in the woods or whatever when he's not stalking anyone. I don't really see him wearing the mask when he's all by himself sitting around. Just a thought. Rob's Halloween was completely out of sorts and way over the top. It felt like a repackaged mix out of House of 1000 corpses and Reject's with Michael Myers thrown in for good measure. Malcom McDowell was completely out of place and didn't even come close to the stunning performances that Pleasence put on as Loomis back in the day. You just knew that it was going to blow after just hearing the opening music, which could have been taken straight out of Reject's by the way. What made the Halloween series work in the first place was the simplicity of it, simple effects, simple make up, and a simple score to play the story forward - just a beautiful mix really. What Zombie is doing to Halloween is trying to incorporate the whole madness/psychotic aspect of the idea behind Michael Myers at which he utterly fails as that whole in your face TCM kind of crazy doesn't do a single thing for Myers. It just makes you go WTF? It's the simple, quite kind of crazy that scares people, you know the stuff that surprises you because you didn't expect it at all. |
