As always, Mark is right. P.S. What you're seeing is part 1 glove replica history in the making here. In the end, this new part 1 glove that Mark is talking about is going to go outside the lines of what we thought to be true. But, alas, it's finally giving us a correct hero replica. Mark has done painstaking research into this. Although this new glove is going to be a joint venture between him and another builder, you should all know that Mark is more than carrying his weight for this project. If this all confuses you, sorry. The "secrecy" of the new glove and both builders will be revealed soon.Chris

I'm really excited about this. I think Mark is really raising the bar and I'm glad because I really don't like the special fx fake bevels.

By the way, I think the bevel looks fantastic but I want to offer some constructive criticism. The inside tip of the bevel needs to be slightly more rounded (more parallel to the top edge of the tip). I only noticed this because I own a couple of the original make/model knives that were used on the hero.

I'm wanting to fix that but as of right now... the way the blade is made unfortunately produces a slightly wider bevel than what I would desire. I think it still looks great and will work fine on some gloves but I will keep on searching for a resolution to that.

Wow... I simply shook my head at this: I got an email from someone who asked for these new blades to be used on his glove. I told him it would push the price of the glove upward to near $300. He responded by saying this:"You know what man, I was really looking forward to getting one of those gloves, but your just making this process harder than it has to be. I really hope you not being all difficult on purpose. And as far as you charging me DOUBLE the price, JUST to use a different type of steel, is ridiculous. But whatever, im still thinking of getting one but it wont be anytime soon. Thanx fer being honest, I guess."Simply understand this if any of you think the same... this feature is something that NO other glove builder has ever offered on a glove. I have never seen any glove maker ever use true surgical stainless steel for the blades on a Freddy Glove. Nightmaregloves.com uses really good steel for their blades but they are not like real knives. They do not flex and spring back into shape like the REAL Part 1 glove did. They are thicker than the blades used on the original glove as well. I have major issues with the template accuracy of Nightmaregloves.com as well. Kruegear was astronomically expensive when they were in business and their blades weren't really that great and I personally feel that the templates on their Part 1 glove were inaccurate. So, it makes perfect sense to expect to pay around $300 - $350 for a hand-crafted glove that offers much more accurate templates AND true knife steel that offers an extremely accurate and custom realism to the glove. If you want HIGH-END features to be used on your glove, expect to pay HIGH-END prices. It's basic logic. You can't get a Lexus for the price of a Dodge Neon.
