all I know is what i told Brandon. It was done as a result of all the issues from $$$$...and not wanting any unwanted attention turned our way...at all...that is really the only answer I have at the moment, since I did not make any decisions about it. I know we have done that with other major horror characters in the past when NL and others started breathing down our necks. Thanks for the support stan...

Kinda sad the company is alienating that many fans to the point you can't even use the name. But oh well...if it keeps them away from here. I think my days of collecting that character are done anyways.

well like all of the older problems with certain names or characters , this will at some point pass . until then , there's plenty of other masks to buy and fill those empty spots in our collection shelves . i personally have no problem with whatever filters that are on here or what we can and can't say but that was just my thoughts about that subject .

Unbelievable. It's REALLY not that hard, common Brandon. Bottom line, it's Justin's board, and he doesn't want his kids reading through profanity laced threads when they want to see what people are saying about their dad's work. A lot of other fathers on here who browse the forums with their kids feel the same way. Yes, it is a horror board, yes we post gore, and blood and all that good stuff, but it's all fake, illusion, not real, so can't you understand why there would be people who wouldn't want their kids, or even just themselves in some cases to see a whole lot of swearing when they check out a new mask, or project someone's working on? It's just a simple respect thing, so please have some for everyone else who may be viewing the board.
And seriously man, do you really need it spelled out why that name is filtered right now? Are you really not aware that other site devoted to that character was shut down because of it? This is Justin's business, his livelyhood, how he puts food on the table for his family, if it gets shut down for people talking about that character because, and again, it's a respect thing, they won't edit themselves and realise it's not all about them, then how does Justin advertise and in turn sell masks? I really didn't think anyone needed this all typed out, I figured people could understand it's not a censorship issue, it's not a first ammendment issue, it's simply a respect issuse, so please, again, just have a little, it's all we're asking.

Tommy not liking anyone or being a forum Nazi is totally blown out. He's one of the most fair and honest people i know. I'm totally with Tommy on this one.
Now Brandon don't think I don't like you either when I've always considered you a friend and always will weather your posting here or not. Just wanted to make it clear.

The fact some of you guys (hopefully removed) use the forum time and time again for yourselves, but when something is asked of the forums creator (ie. no profanity/use of licensed character names) you take it as a personal insult and attack upon your liberties? You aren't questioning authority; this isn't a Walmart chain of stores where the corporate man is trying to get you down. This is a one man independent shop, something that is dying out everyday, so you'd think you might want to help at every turn to do your best to KEEP it in business.
I'm 20 years old, but when I started frequenting this forum I was 12. Luckily my parents were understanding, but I know there were and are plenty of kids just like me whose parents want to monitor where their kids are spending their time. If those parents check on the boards to find a stream-line trail of profanity/offensive comments, I doubt they would be very understanding in loaning them the extra $60 bucks they need to order from Justin's catalog.
I enjoy my freedom's just as much as the next person, but a forum that is offered for free by a sole business owner should not be the place to try to defend those freedoms to the fullest.

Not to mention the Forum isn't FREE. Justin or someone else pays for the forum so were lucky we have it. NIGHTOWL Is Justin's company. So if anyone has a problem with the way he chooses to run it might as well just leave as Tommy pointed out already.......
