This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - puckface - 02-15-2012 I may be missing something, so forgive me and correct me if I\'m wrong. If Josh purchased the Pinhead bust not knowing it was a recast, then sold it still thinking it was an original, than why are you upset with him as if he did something wrong? If he truly believed it was an original during the transaction, how is he at fault? By the looks of it, neither of you knew it was a recast until this thread was made. Josh returning a partial refund to you wouldn\'t be fair if he payed just as much as you did originally. (which I\'m assuming he did, seeing as how he says he thought it was an original) This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - Michaelantern - 02-15-2012 I wasn\'t intending to come back and post but since I was asked a fair question I will respond. Puckface I don\'t think he knew. The issue is he comes out and admits on the open forum that this is a recast but doesn\'t feel the need to so much as apologize for selling a recast to me after he found out such. Just for the record after shipping I paid over 600 dollars for this piece, I think an apology alone would have been nice. If I sold you or anyone else a recast unknowingly but then found out what it was I would certainly at least apologize and attempt to make it right. Just because he got burned doesn\'t mean that burning someone else (whether on purpose or not) should go without an ATTEMPT at an apology and an offer of setting things straight. And just for the record by no means do I plan on bans or anything like that, this is why I waited to speak to him first. I am convinced he didn\'t realize at the time of sale that it was a recast. This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - IbDaToNeGuY - 02-15-2012 My thoughts EXACTLY Scott . I just didn\'t wanna say anything as it would make me look like i\'m taking sides . But yeah that would be very unfair to send a partial refund and still keep the bust when Josh would end up on the losing side of this ordeal . It just kinda sounds like a double standard to me as Josh bought it thinking it was original and then selling it thinking it was original and then finding out 5 months later that it is a recast and now he\'s expected to give a refund but not get the bust back ? Sounds a bit fishy to me ![]() This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - crazydog500 - 02-15-2012 Also i didn\'t think i should of sent you a PM because you were browsing the forums and a thread was already made it wasn\'t like i was keeping it away from you. I sold it pretty much $500 plus shipping which came out to over $600 because the post office i went to messed up on there end pretty much and charged me double. Also have proof since Mickibanez was there with me when i got back into the car. By the way here is proof just in case some of you don\'t believe me i thought it was original. Here a pic he sent me saying that was my bust and how he others he would like to sell me. I thought it was legit for one the pic he sent, two he was dealing on ebay out in the open and nobody said anything, 3 the payment went to K.D.M. Productions which was a company i thought bought the mold from Howard. ![]() This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - Michaelantern - 02-15-2012 (01-01-1970, 12:00 AM)ToN link Wrote:My thoughts EXACTLY Scott . Sounds a bit fishy to meFishy? lol Geez. I have already told Josh in a pm that I know he doesn\'t have a job (now) and that I\'m not looking for blood here I just thought an apology and an ATTEMPT (as I\'ve said several times) would have been nice. I paid over 600 bucks for a recast but I guess I was crazy for expecting an apology and I made it clear from the start that a partial refund OR a replacement (of course I wouldn\'t be keeping this one too!!!!) at his choice. I can\'t believe you would consider that "fishy". I can see this is pointless. So selling a recast to someone and not so much as apologizing after eight pms is perfectly ok? Good luck if this ever happens to you since this is perfectly acceptable. I\'m sure anyone in your position would feel the same. And I totally understand that an apology or just chatting with Josh about the situation would set help ease the frustration. I just feel that if Josh honestly didn\'t know then, there isn\'t much of a debt owed now between you two. An apology? Of course. A refund? Well, that\'s between you and Josh. But in the end (like you said), it\'s his decision. This is what I\'m basing my comments off of. You didn\'t ask for an apology there. You publicly put Josh in an awkward spot and asked for a refund. If you really only felt an apology was the most important thing up and foremost, I feel you would have said that rather than asking for money back. Like I said before, I don\'t know all of the facts other than what I\'ve read here. But I really am trying to be fair with my opinion. This is merely thoughts on the situation, and is completely unbiased. This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - Michaelantern - 02-15-2012 Fair enough man. In reality I was quite a bit taken back to come to the board and see that he was openly stating he sold off a recast (to me) but never contacted me. The guy who sold him the recast was wrong and he didn\'t do anything about it. I\'m stuck with paying quite a bit for a recast and yeah in my opinion the person who sold it to me was responsible. It appears many who are not directly in this situation (giving them objectivity) don\'t agree with that so fair enough. Subject over on my part, it\'s over and done with. This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - puckface - 02-15-2012 Like I said, I understand your frustration and I don\'t blame you for wanting explanations. What you said above is correct and I completely agree. I am not directly involved and I may not fully understand how you feel and I can respect that. I hope you and Josh are able to come to some sort of agreement because you are both reputable people and I hope the current situation doesn\'t effect your views on each other or the hobby in general. This Was Supposed To Be An Awesome Score - msharrow - 02-15-2012 any further on this subject should be handle between the two parties and i am lockin it up. in my opinion benny, all you can do now is put it up in the classiifieds and state exactly what it is and see what you can get. i see both sides and it is just crap situation all the way around. i understand that Josh is broke but IMHO i would offer up something if it were me that sold it even though i was not responsible for the problem, but thats just me. mike |
