Thank you for the kind comments guys i appreciate them.I have sorted this out privately and everyting is fine, just seemed to be a misunderstanding. So i would appreciate it if we could get back on topic and comment on the masks and not members!Do you guys think the P6 with the brown tint is too brown?

It looks fine on the picture mate, would need to see it for real, you can always send it to me!!!! LOL! Looks good to me. (good to hear you've resolved your dispute) <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

From what i can see in the pics the brown is perfect and i think you captured the look fairly well, i have always found this style to be the hardest to replicate, because of the browning, its hard to get it just right!!

Ruste, your attention to detail is amazing. You know the guys here with obsessive eyes know what's up with a hockey mask, so don't fret man, it's great. The only thing I would change is to yellow it a bit, but that may just be the lighting, and it's not a hard thing to do anyway. Good job buddy. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"B)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"cool.gif\" />

I don't want to hijack the thread, but this ship is already of course <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /> I know at one point someone involved with the production of part 3 stated that the triangles were not painted, that they were in fact a red plastic sheeting used in stage lights to change the white light thrown by them red. This is going back 3-5 years ago. IIRC, it may have been Gerald Feil (3-D Cinematogrpher) when he was poking his head around the F13 fan boards back in 2003.I hate to disagree with Ken, but for the indisputable evidence for me that its a sticker is that the part 3 mask has a solid, straight 'V', and at some point in part 4 (see shower scene) one half is clearly ripped and no longer staright. I am not talking about the rubbed (fallen) off left side, but the right side of the V that is clearly in 2 pieces. So either its a different mask with a different paint job (which goes against all evidence that part 3/4 is the same mask) or it was repainted (which is highly unlikely since all other markings from part 3 match exactly)<img src=\"http://www.vintagecottage.ca/golgo13/F13%20Pics/hock3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />As for staying on topic, Ruste Dowgs paints jobs are spot on, especially that part 3....very nice.....to me the sticker effect works good on film but never looks right when you have it in your hands. A nice glossy paint done so as to be 3-dimensional looks much better in person that tape or stickers. Although a shower scene mask wouldn't look right to me as paint....it just doesn't make sense for paint to end up ripped like that....

[quote=Golgo 13,Jul 2 2007, 10:49 PM]I don't want to hijack the thread, but this ship is already of course <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /> No worries mate, you make some good points, ones i have thought of too, it's one of those things though where yes it looks that way but i'm not goint to argue with the guy that made the mask after all he is bigger than me <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> Ken says it's painted, good enough for me.If i paint a p3 tri in red enamel and coat it few times really heavy so the paint settles with no brush strokes in it then when i take away the masking tape it would be hard to tell if it were paint or stickers as it would be just as raised. The gap in the tri in P4 in your pic as you pointed out is what made me think it was a sticker.I posted this a while back on Frightforum'Although i paint mine on, i always thought they were vinyl tape/electrical tape, i have bought some red tape in case anyone ever asked for vinyl and the colour is almost the same as the picture above. I think Crash is right about the forehead tri, if you look at that pic you can see it looks like both cheek tris put together, hence why the tri is not symetrical. Also when the forehead tri is half missing in the final chapter the way it's broken in half reminds me of something that happens to tools at the place i work, bear with me a moment, we have a huge selection of tools and the guys all colour code their own individual sets with electrical vinyl tape, i saw someone hammer that had red tape on it that had got wet and then dry and then hot and then cold (you get the picture!) and the tape had flaked off in half and looked dried out and brittle, almost identical to the way the forehead tri looks in the final chapter, so maybe it was vinyl......but then again...!' As i said then and still say now the great debate continues and will for sometime! Thanks again guys for all your imput and kind comments <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />
