Eh. Might as well say SOMETHING constructive about it.
I think that Shayne is an okie guy. I\'ve spoken to him in the past and he seems uber nice. I used to post on his board constantly. From seeing him post there for over 2 years, I can tell you first hand that he\'d never rip anyone off intentionally. He just.....wouldn\'t. There are no \'ifs\', \'ands\', or \'buts\' about it. He just wouldn\'t. He\'s had some problems, but he will most likely get back on track eventually. I have full faith in that.
I personally still plan to order a mask from him one day.. The man\'s molds are *almost* completely unaltered, unlike everyone else that sells hockey masks now, ever. Of course, that doesn\'t include Justin or Silver Shampain for MORE than obvious reasons. (Justin has used Cropsy\'s molds and a Part 7 mask from the film, and SSN masks come from the original part 7 mold.)
If you\'ll allow me to rant for a bit and go completely off subject, I think that altering the mold for a hockey mask in any shape or form should be strictly forbidden. It takes it THAT much further away from screen accuracy. All of the high-end, tightass collectors like myself want PERFECTION. Cropsy (and Justin) have provided that to us, and will continue to do so, most likely, for years to come. I know the mask so well, that I can\'t allow myself to buy a hockey mask from anyone else because they tweak holes on the mask and mess with the shape and indents until it doesn\'t look menacing...evil...anymore. The masks end up looking expressionless, dumb, and inaccurate. No matter how INCREDIBLE a paint job on these masks look, it doesn\'t quite look right. There is an element of magic that isn\'t present in these newer, altered mask copies. My friend Emerson (Cyclonus, 245 Trioxin) recently got the best idea ever, and took a pull from the mold he owned, reshaped it to perfection, drilled all the holes correctly, and then made brand new molds from it. It\'s amazing how creepy his masks are now...But I digress.
Cropsy is one of the many that have realized that you can\'t change one thing about these masks, or else they lose their "feeling". They don\'t FEEL like the J-man anymore. This point is proven by Cropsy\'s "idealized" paintjobs on newer masks. Even though they\'re not supposed to be DEAD accurate, Cropsy still manages to get the feeling to stay intact...This nets him a lot of respect from me. He knows what he\'s doing. He has an incredible talent. That said, how could someone so passionate about what he does, intentionally rip off so many? It just doesn\'t register in my mind! I still say that he will come through for all of his past and future customers.

EXACTLY Ryan. You captured my exact thoughts on the subject, if someone is so dedicated to making these unbelievable replicas, it\'s just not really reasonable to think he\'s gonna turn around and say \'screw this, I\'m keeping the money!\' Anyone who knows this hobby knows Shayne doesn\'t make the masks for the money, it\'s a labour of love. So that arguement is moot. As for the accuracy part of that, HELL yes, if you all remember, that\'s why we sent the man our money in the first place.

Wow I get home from Batman to see that not only is this thread still up, but people are making some great points.
