Nice AK. Best thing about those are how difficult it is for them to get jammed up. I wish I could own one, but those are banned here in the city. I would have to order pieces and assemble it, which I don\'t know how to do. Nice score man, you\'re fortunate to be able to own one.

You can get the lower quality ones for around $300, but I honestly say wait for a better model if you can.

wow, where is your dealer located? i could definatly get one in late febuary when i get my tax income return check. I havent owned any guns otehr than shotguns, so please excuse my stupid questions, but:
Whut type of ammo does it use?
How easy is it to get ammo for them/is it available is local stores?

The ammo is readily available, but some of it is cheaper and corrosive which is bad for your working parts. Get non-corrosive 7.62x39 ammo. My dad found a large bag full at a local pawn/gun shop for about $20, and it had about 400 rounds in it.

The dealer I got my gun from is located in Wisconsin, but I\'m in Missouri. What you have to do is find a dealer local to you (Pawn store should work if they sell Firearms) then get in contact with the dealer you want to buy the gun from. When you send in your payment send in a copy of your local dealers FFL. They will then ship your gun to your local dealer where he/she does the transfer for you.

The ammo it takes is 7.62x39mm, some take .223 ammo also but usually have feed problems.
Go with the 7.62 for the cheap ammo (now it will run you about $120-140 for 1,000 rounds).
I just got back from shooting it at the local range. I ran 80 rounds through it, and it performed like a champ.
