Wickedbeards New Blood Costume! - sirbrad - 06-26-2008 Oh yeah forgot, where did you get olive green pants? I see a lot of shirts that color at the thrift store but never pants. I have like 5 shirts for part 6 and 7. Or did you use green Dickees? Wickedbeards New Blood Costume! - wickedbeard - 06-26-2008 The brand of shirt does not matter since it is so ripped up.the pants do not have to match exactly, just come close.after you dirty them, you could never tell.Plastic chain does not have the same sound when you move, you just gotta have that klinking sound and I did weather it some.also, don't stress out over perfection, no costume is perfect.Believe me, I am probably more anal than you about the J-man, and I have learned to take it in stride. The most important part of playing Jason is mastering his poses. That is very important.I am making adjustments to my undermask, and hopefully receiving a new and exciting item for the suit, and I will be shooting the part 7 outside for some accurate as possible poses including the head squeeze, which I did the wrong way, but oh well.I will get it right next round.I am hopefully shooting the pics of my remastered part 8 tonight, as my black gloves finally got here.I got away from the grey color, and went with more of a dead tannish, flesh look like some of the screen caps and also to match my MMFX ugly 8. Wickedbeards New Blood Costume! - sirbrad - 06-27-2008 Yeah I had a real chain too, but it is just too heavy to wear all night. Great for display though. I found a perfect black plastic chain at Lowes for only 58 cents a foot! I got two feet so I can wear it short or longer. I also bought a chain linker the same size, 3/16. I will be parting that gloss black to match the chain, and then weathering it. So did you make the forearms out of material that came with the base costume, or do they come with it? I also hate those big huge latex hands. Wickedbeards New Blood Costume! - sirbrad - 07-12-2008 I pretty much got everything I need for my remake, including the Rubies parts. Still finishing part 6 and Freddy for this year though. Just wondering if you ever planned or thought to paint the black mesh on the hands showing the same color as the arms to match? That would be the only flaw if one looked real close lol. I am getting similar gloves which I posted in another thread, and want to paint all the black showing to match whatever color my forearms will be. In fact I will use the whole glove itself to make them, as it is about 18 inches long.So I would just coat the black areas with latex and then build up and paint? Should be cool. I would like to have two versions, one with gloves and one without. At least with the gloves you do not have to do the bottom of the hands. But I may cut some glove tips off, as my gloves have an inch of skeletal bone hanging over, which also will look pretty cool and more realistic. I am not sure how doing the bottoms of the hands will work, unless I can keep it thin for flexibility. Wickedbeards New Blood Costume! - Jluck - 07-12-2008 amazing to say the least. you really nailed that!! bravo!! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> |
