I actually like the look of the suit. Not too big on the mechanical web shooters, never was. The whole idea of him actually running out of web is lame. Going to save Mary Jane from a fall? Oh wait.... no I ran out of web (just to make it dramatic). Peter Parker got bit by a spider and inherits powers but doesn't have the ability to produce his own web? I was glad when they switched it when they came out with the first film.

I just looked through the entire thread. Yeah...that costume is pathetic. Spider-man's look is classic and iconic. It's one of those things you shouldn't mess with. Pretty much everytime it was changed in the comics, there was a negative backlash from fans. If they wanted to go with a different look from raimi's they could have simply made the web pattern more comic accurate, changed the shape of the eyes and spider on his chest. Maybe slightly altered the red and blue tones, and they could have given him the webs that are in the armpits of the costume. I think that would have been adequate enough of a difference for a new movie. Thats my rant, but Spiderman has been my favorite hero since I was 3 back around 1981 - 82. Again the only positive is the mechanical web shooters and I hope they did away with the little hairs on his fingertips. He sticks to walls by a means similar to static cling.

2012 must be the year of disasters. after seeing this hate crime of a costume. it reminds me of the spiderclone storyline with one costume either ben reily or the real spiderman wore. they should have gone ahead and made a spiderman 2099 movie and it would have better. i'm afraid to see what the lizard will look like. i'm guessing curt connors will have both arms?
