Ebay/paypal Question - Punisher - 03-05-2007

Hey guys! I\'ve had Paypal and ebay for years, but I never got my paypal account verified (from what I understand they want your checking info and I don\'t want to give that out). Now, I have a PC game that\'s worth quite a bit (it\'s been going for about $120-150 on ebay) but I\'m afraid I\'ll scare off bidders if it\'s money order only. Is there a way to get a paypal payment without giving my checking info? I signed up for Paypal years ago because some woman ripped me off on a few Movie Maniacs figures and she wanted to send payment that way. Paypal received the $40 and sent me a check for that amount. Do they still do this or is a checking account the only way. If this is true, do you think only accepting MO\'s would scare away bidders? I haven\'t sold stuff on ebay in a long time so I\'m not sure. What do you all think?

Personally I\'ve used Paypal for years as a seller and never had a single problem. They do make tiny deposits into your account to verify. Been a happy user for a long time now...the fees that Ebay and Paypal impose kinda suck but face it ..you\'d never reach the market you can on there........................Larry

No reason to be scared. People give their credit card info to companies every single day so you should be scared to give it to a massive banking company like paypal. All they do is deposit a small amount of change into your account and you confirm. It\'s way worth it. I never even have money in my paypal really. Whenever I wanna buy something I just send a paypal and it automatically transfers it from my account

get verified - no big deal at all

just be really careful when you get emails asking for information - NEVER go from links in yoiur email directly to paypal or Ebay and give out personal sign on info - that is the way to get burned big time

Otherwise it is as safe as can be
