It is cast in thick latex and foam filled so it should last a VERY long time. If treated properly it would probably last your lifetime. I have had mine in an acrylic display case since the day it was recieved. This should also greatly extend the busts life. Not handled, touched or exposed to dust, etc. The chain is a light weight plastic that looks real as hell up close.
