Is it any one here that got one and can tell me were i shoud look on internet.ThanksMikael Stormtrooper - Ruste Dowg - 10-24-2007 I hear good things about this ebay sellerTrooper armour Stormtrooper - darko@totalgeek - 10-24-2007 Andrew Ainsworth and Shepperton Design Studios created the original helmets and armour for the greatest sci-fi fantasy film of all time. Now, almost 30 years on and for the FIRST time ever, YOU can own an exclusive 1:1 collectable replica of the original movie helmets.Made by the original prop-makerFrom the original moulds.Produced and endorsed by Andrew Ainsworth at Shepperton Design Studio's, these unique props offer collectors a rare opportunity of owning some of the most iconic designs of modern cinemahttp://sdsprops.com/home.htmlI purchased a Stunt trooper a couple of years ago - well worth the extra $$$ Stormtrooper - Crash - 10-24-2007 Seller 333trip on ebay is great to deal with. He sells the FX kits. My first set of armor was purchased from him. Here . . . ebay Item#150175232628.The FX suits are fan sculpted and not entirely screen accurate, especially the bucket (helmet). So when you say "best" do you mean as in price or accuracy? The FX kits are the cheapest but look great though. I am a member of the 501st and the predominant set of armor used is the FX style. There are a few other "screen accurate" kits out there, but you're gonna pay a bit more. The FX kit also tend to fit larger people better. Here's me in my first FX kit . . . . I have another set of armor and four buckets that were basically generated from a movie suit and it is a bit smaller. In my opinion, if you're a first time trooper and not concerned with 100% accuracy, go with FX kit and see how you like it. Trust me, you will. You'll instantly be recognized as a stormtrooper by the general public. Although sometimes I am called Darth Vader, a robot and even the white Power Ranger. LOL! Stormtrooper - Patsmear - 10-24-2007 Yep. I have a Gerardo Follano suit. It is the one that the Armor FX copied.I would say a kit runs about $450 to $500 and is a great price, and they aren't hard to put together. Those Shepperton studios suits are really nice, but there is some arguments as to weather he is using the original molds or if he has reworked other suits. But a cool thing is it is put together by the same guy from the original film.I got mine in I think 1998, and it was $1000. Pat Stormtrooper - travsall - 10-24-2007 It depends how accurate you wanna go basically, I have the FX suit with a GF helmet and I'm DAMN happy with the set! To me, it's as accurate as I'll ever need, but not the case for everyone. A full GF suit, or a harder to find, TE suit IS more accurate as they were taken from an actual screen used suit. But you're paying a lot more, and have to do a lot more work. If you just want a good suit, go with FX, buy the auction Crash put up and you'll be damn happy with it. To make it even better swap out the helmet for a more accurate one and you're as good as most of the 501st guys! Fun as HELL build too, I went through mine in about 3 days and had a blast! If/when ya get a set, post your progress on the build! Stormtrooper - SuperDanDrista - 10-24-2007 I like the FX suit for a good authentic costume..no one will know the difference..Or if you want extreme accuracy some of the others out there are better..but 99% of people..even a lot of collectors, won't notice a difference. My buddy has a FX suit locally here on a manniquin and it's sweet! Helmet is pretty big Stormtrooper - stainboy - 10-25-2007 <!--quoteo(post=242927:date=Oct 24 2007, 02:50 PM:name=SuperDanDrista)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(SuperDanDrista @ Oct 24 2007, 02:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI like the FX suit for a good authentic costume..no one will know the difference..<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndI completely agree.
