Sence i started school ive been using my sisters lap-top and its riddled with ad-ware, at one time i found a good free program for my home PC but now the only thing i can find are shitty ones that scan but dont delete unless you buy the program. does anyone know of a place on the web were i can find good ad-ware software that is free and will actuily help? thanks alot!

Ad-Aware is the best program I\'ve used. The first time I scanned my computer it removed literally hundreds of files! It\'s also free for personal use

Yeah, can be a nuisance sometimes, but frighten not my friend there is help, like the guys said, Ad-Aware SE is the latest version, very nice program.
Another good one to use against spyware would be Spybot Search & Destroy which is very userfriendly. You should also consider downloading Spywareblaster from www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html This little program doesn\'t even allow spyware on your PC in the first place.
Another need program that I use often would be easycleaner from www.toniarts.com/ecleane.htm which lets you clean your registry and such. Hope that helps.

i downloaded ad-aware and it still won take the shit off, it only detects it then asks me to pay to registor before it will take it off

The normal Ad aware version is free, no need to register anything. You should go on their own website, there should be a link for free download.
