I've usually had good luck with sony cyber shot cameras. I found they were good at auto adjusting to different lighting conditions really good. I take my camera to concerts all the time and usually get good shots and I can take good video. And I didn't have to install any program to download my pics to the computer. You might want to look in to one of those. Nicon is also a god camera.

What is a 'Nicon' camera? How could you mispell, in my opinion, the BEST maker of cameras! You should be ashamed! You should be sent to the deepest darkest relms of the earth for all time! LOLOL! J/K bro. I've used Nikon for 15 years and love every little nook & cranny about their cameras and lenses. Sony isn't too bad for a point & shoot. Sony actually made the new sensors that are in the Nikon D300 & D3. By the way Zombietom, make sure when you pick you point and shoot to try it before you buy it. Do these few tests before paying for it: Test to see how long the camera takes to take the picture after you push the button. Some point and shoots take too long and you'll miss a good shot. Find out how the camera handles noise at high ISO settings. Find out how long batteries last. Find out about the alloy that the body is made from. Nice to have something that can hit the ground and not shatter. Make sure that the camera has some sort of cover for the lens. I hate those p&s cameras that have nothing shielding the main part you shoot through. Most importantly....get a warranty. GUess that's it. Good luck on your camera search. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Sorry for the miss spelling I will have to retreat back to my cage and whip my self till I can spell NIKON. LOL I had forgot about the new sony sensors that they have. I think you get a better steady shot which gives you less blurry photos. I can't remember exactly.

I have a Canon A570IS that I really like. I know it's not the best, but for the price it does a good job. If I had the money, I'd have a Nikon D40. Love that camera!-grady
