Can anyone shead some light on why the scores for Friday the 13th 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 have not been officially released?Who owns the rights?

I asked Harry Manfredini this last weekend at the Fango Show so I can tell you all about it. The masters are gone he says. They are working on getting something going to get the music from part 1 thru 6. He doesn’t wanna re-compose the score but you can tell he has something up his sleeve.Music to part 7 and 8 are out on CD by Fred Molin.

They did the cover like that to ward off any ‘Paramount/New Line’ issues. They also limited the release to ‘producers releases’ too. Some of the music was re-recorded some was not I’m told.

I love the soundtrack to parts 1-5. I have most of the songs from part 6 (atleast the main ones).But it would be great to have a completley remastered soundtrack of parts 1-6.
