Hey guys,I figured if I didn't vent about this somewhere I was going to explode. I'm a huge gamer as I'm sure some of you are out there. When the PS3 came out I was lucky enough to get mine without too much trouble of tracking one down *thankfully I live in a rural area*. To this day I love that system and in my opinon, next to a PC it's the best gaming system hands down. However it is sad that nothing has come out yet that's really been able to showcase it's true abilities. Until the new GTA and Metal Gear come out I don't look for anything new to really do anything other that leave people wondering "when are the cool games coming?" That being said...last night I did something I swore that I would never do....I waited in line for several hours last night at my local Walmart so I could get one of their Wii's that were coming in off of a truck. They had 11 and I was number 4 in line. Now I would have never done this as I had no real desire to have a Wii, but my wife really wanted one and thought that it would be a cool edition to the house, so when a friend of mine clued me in to when they would be sold, I waited along with some other shoppers for about 4 and a half hours. I'm not a late night person like I used to be so when I got one at just after midnight, I came home and hooked it up and went to bed. I never even turned it on to see if it would work, I waited until this morning to see what it could do. Being a huge Legend of Zelda fan, that's the only game that I bought for myself and the only game that I would ever desire playing on it, because unfortunately Zelda is a Nintendo exclusive, so it's either get the system or do without.This morning I tear into the settings, getting it ready to play which ended up being a serious hassle in and of itself. After figuring everything out I decided to take Twilight Princess for a spin and after about 20 minutes of mindless running around to figure out the stupid controls, I was ready to throw the thing out the window. I didn't even bother trying another game. I was so pissed off at just how difficult this thing was to use that I was actually mad that I had bought that piece of garbage in the first place. After my wife woke up she asked me how it was and I told her what I piece of crap I thought it was. I knew she wouldn't like Zelda so she gave Wii sports a spin and to her distress, she absolutely hated it.You can't sit down and play one of these damn things, you have to be up and running all over the room almost. I know that's how they are meant to be used, but come on....She played for less than 10 minutes and decided that she hated it as well. On that note, I boxed everything up and took it back to walmart and got every dime I spent back except for what I spent for Zelda because I had opened it. I bought that thing because so many of my friends told me just how awesome they are to own, however in my opinion...if it had not been for my spending almost $500.00 bucks on this thing after I got the extra controller and games, I would have launched it out my window. That game system is the biggest piece of crap I've ever touched in my life and I've seen CD Rom drives have more appeal to me than that damn thing. If you yourself are a Wii fan, you're a better man than me and my hat is off to you, but in my 20 minutes of playing, I was ready to strangle myself for waiting in line for 4 hours for something that I would return in less than 12.Sorry for throwing that here, but I just wanted to voice my aggravation over the subject.-Joseph

Wii's are near impossible to get around here. I want one to play the new Mario Kart. I hate the fact they make you use the Wii remote bull crap. I hope you're allowed to use the classic controller, but from what I hear, they force you to stand up in the middle of your room. Also, aren't the graphics just a little bit above PS2??? What's all the hype?Sorry about your headache man.

I love the Wii for Wii Sports alone. But add in all of the Mario games and it makes it worth the purchase. I do agree that the controls can be frustrating at times though. My wife and I still play gamecube games on it all the time... especially Mario Kart.

i've had all 3 next gen. systems and honestly i think the best by far is PS3 . the hype for the Wii isn't the graphics and Nintendo can vouch for that themselves . it's all about the interactive part . 360 was ok for awhile but i couldn't stand the fact that you had to pay for the live part which is like $70 a year or something like that and then the PS3 is free . honestly the only thing i lied about Wii was that you could download the classic games because the sports got old real fast lol . i know it's not a shoot em up zombie game but if you want some of the most amazing graphics ever to be in a game , check out Uncharted . i freakin love that game <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> mike,

My mother stood in line and got me one this past christmas, and while its not the greatest thing ever I still think its fun to play. I got it to continue playing my Resident Evil games....Umbrella Chronicles sold it for me. ANY system RE goes to I WILL buy!
