Freddy Silicone Mask - sirbrad - 04-28-2008 I have a few questions about these, in particular about the one sold by Christian Cocco, as he seems to maybe not speak English well and is sometimes slow to answer.1. Will this mask fit a standard adult head? I wear an XL fedora which is very slightly too big to accommodate an under-mask such as this. Do these silicone masks stretch quite a bit, and shrink tight to fit, and do they rip easily?2. If one rips how can it be prepared?3. Do they have good breathability? Such as hidden ventilation holes all around for long-term wear? Could I add them without ruining the mask, or can they come with them? Reason being is that with rubies Jason mask, I had to add some hidden holes for ventilation because it gets way too hot, and I wear the mask at parades and other events for up to 3 hours.4. It looks as though you can speak freely and the mouth is open so that teeth/dentures can be added?5. Is there any guarantee on these that they will fit, or can be replaced or made larger if it don't fit? Or just 1 size?I am still waiting for this response from Christian himself, but just thought I would ask those who also may have one. For that kind of money it has to be perfect for me. Thanks. Freddy Silicone Mask - fright-rags - 04-28-2008 I don't own a Christian Cocco mask, but I do own an SPFX silicone Freddy so I can help answer these for you:1. Silicone masks stretch quite a bit, yes, and unless you have an unusually small head, it should fit fine. Large heads almost work better because it stretches to fit the size of your head. It's much different than latex...it's made to stretch out over the wearer. So yes, it should fit you just fine.2. They only rip easily if you don't know how to handle them. The areas you have to look out for are the eye holes, nose holes, and the mouth. Just don't pull up or down on them and it will last. You can pull side to side with no problem, so use that method when getting into the mask. Don't yank it down over your head....put your hands inside it and stretch it from side to side. If it does rip, it can be repaired with 100% silicone (found at any hardware store). It takes a bit to work with it (since the set up time is a day or two to cure) but it can be done.3. The mask itself doesn't breathe...meaning it's not porous (if that's what you were asking). But I've been able to wear mine for a couple hours without a problem. But that was outside in the fall when it was relatively cool out. If you're at some crowded party inside, well, you'll get hot in it. In that sense, it's kind of like latex but I don't suggest you poking holes in your maks. It will weaken it and make it susceptible to rips. Besides, any small hole you poke in it will close right up so you would have to make a pretty large hole (well, at least the size of the nose holes) for any ventilation which, again, weakens the mask and just won't look good. If you're outside with it most of the time, you should be ok. The only thing you have to be careful with is hearing...sounds are muffled, but it's not that big of a deal.4. Yes, you can speak freely and I even eat and drink with mine on. And yes, you can add dentures too.5. No guarantee that they will fit, but again, these masks a re made to stretch onto the wearer. Unless you're 10 years old with a child-sized head, you should be fine.Again, I'm only speaking from experience with my SPFX Freddy but I imagine they are pretty close as most all silicone masks share these properties. Hope that helps! Freddy Silicone Mask - sirbrad - 04-28-2008 Wow that was very informative, thanks! Yeah my Rubies Jason for my part 7 I posted on here kinda fit like silicone actually, being my head is about an XL, so it was a tight fit. Yeah I had to use scissors to make a bigger hole than just a "poke" because in latex it closed up as well. But the darker Jason mask allows more concealment, and it just seems to strong to rip. I even tested it by pulling on mouth and eyes and latex is very strong! I kinda figured the silicone would shrink onto your face for that perfect fit. So I take it there are no ear holes?even my Jason one had very small ear holes and I had to open them up some, but luckily there are some "wounds" there that blend it well. Freddy Silicone Mask - DMac604 - 04-29-2008 check out this thread sirbrad<a href=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/index.php?showtopic=25862\" target=\"_blank\">http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/index.php?showtopic=25862</a>oops I see you already posted in it Freddy Silicone Mask - shadowmyst - 04-29-2008 Just so you know, theres no place for your nose in the mask. In other words, your nose sits flat against the mask. I can't compare the christian cocco mask to my spfx Freddy but its not bad. I asked Christian about this and am waiting for a response. He responds once in awhile, but never answers all my questions in detail. I even used a Spanish translator. For that kind of money he damn well better answer them. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> I need to know every detail possible, and a mask has to be perfect before I commit to spending that much. Freddy Silicone Mask - shadowmyst - 04-29-2008 No, theres no place for your nose at all. I'm not sure why he made it that way, yeah he never answers me at all. I sent him dozens of messages... Freddy Silicone Mask - sirbrad - 04-29-2008 He must be really busy making these masks and other things maybe. However such poor customer service will only cost him a lot more money. I hope he changes the nose thing. Freddy Silicone Mask - horrorstudent - 05-01-2008 Just out of curiosity, does anybody have any pics of this new mask and where can they be found?
