Freddy Sweater For Masks/busts? - Snoballz - 07-03-2008 Where can I find a sweater for Freddy mask? I just need the neck and partial shoulders. Are people really cutting up $100 sweaters to make them, or is there a source for these? Freddy Sweater For Masks/busts? - monteburns - 07-03-2008 The cheapest place that you will find a sweater is on eBay.You will have to spend around a 100 to get a screen accurate sweater with a decent knit.Green stripes can be painted on a red sweater to get an screen accurate look for a cheap price. The salvation army usually has tons of good quality sweaters to choose from.Once weathered nobody will ever know. You can fold the sweater so that it goes inside your bust or mask rather than cut it up and ruin it. Pretty much what I thought. Guess my Freddies will be won't be wearing sweaters. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> Freddy Sweater For Masks/busts? - sirbrad - 07-03-2008 Nothing will stop the most dedicated. I think some stuff the sweater up inside depending on the bust size and sweater. I love my DMC part 5, and it was really hard for me to weather and cut that because it looked so clean and nice. But anything for screen accuracy, at least close to it. Plus Freddy would never have such a clean sweater anyway. Also just got my DMC stunt mask 5 in, and it is great! My life-sized is really coming to life! Also the Rubies sweater is good enough for a bust, and almost looks like the VS sort of.I was actually quit impressed with it and paid about $20 for it on eBay. Some have won it for 99 cents! Although as with anything, you get what you pay for. It is a wool one I think, and real flimsy, so after cutting the collar it will tend to flop down. But the DMC ones are made of SUPER strong acrylic, and stay firm. I would just get a clean DMC one for $125, you won't regret it. I for one would never spring for an expensive quality mask and not get the same in a sweater as well. The sweater, glove, and hat all are just as important. The Rubies sweater works fine, although I was not satisfied with it being I am primarily a costumer wearer, and use displays in the off-season. Just grab a Rubies sweater on eBay for $10-$30 and use that. I would cut it down to fit. But here is my Rubies sweater tucked in and used with paper just for a rough idea. Works great, but if you cut one down it will fit better and have less material to worry about. Would be better than nothing. Course the DMC looks a lot better even yet, as it has the red collar. If I used a bust I would also add eyes, which I am looking into. My masks sit on a shelf with very little to no wearing. A few minutes at most.I only have one mask that has been displayed with a shirt stuffed in it, and I didn't like the way it "fattened" the mask. Right now he's shirtless. I'm still debating on cutting down the shirt and putting it back on. I really liked the "finished" look with the collar. The mask is a Maggothead, BTW. Freddy Sweater For Masks/busts? - GraveOctober - 07-04-2008 Maggot head 1 or 2? You shoudl take some pictures.Yeah, a lot of people decide to change whether to keep the collar or not, just goes about changing how you want to display it. Its honestly not a big deal, except the freddy one at the moment i am sure because the sweater is so expensive. Give suckface a PM, maybe he can help. I think he makes them for his masks he sells.
