<img src=\"http://i11.ebayimg.com/03/i/02/57/a5/4b_1.JPG\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Is this a good budget Predator? Does it look as good as the pic? I will be working on a full-sized costum/display in the future, but have a limited budget, so was wondering what is the best stuff at the best price overall? I am sure the heavier armor would be tiring to wear all night lol.HELMET SETThe Galaxy’s Ultimate Alien Hunter Lives Again in this Incredible Mask and Helmet Set by Rubies! the mass produced mask isn't all that bad sculpt wise but it'd def. need a repaint for sure . i wouldn't bother with the costume but if you are wanting a good quality kind then i'd talk to Frosty on here . mike,

Think about it..mass produced masks by Rubies just aren't that great. For something like predator, would you really want to go cheap on it? It will just be a waste. If I had to get a predator on a budget, I would find a maker that could sell me a blank pull that I could do up myself or have it done by an affordable but good painter. You ask a lot of questions about mass produced stuff lol. Are you just not into spending good money? Not much mass production is any good besides some exceptions....and of course vintage Don Post RULES!YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR..REMEMBER THAT!

It seems like you want a lot of cheap costumes. If I were you, I would concentrate on ONE costume and do it right..spare no expense! It reminds me of all those people that got that rubies supreme vader costume. It's not bad but looks goofy to Star wars costume makers..really really goofy!

Well I have bought DMC stuff so far, and some expensive hockey masks etc. But I always like to see how the mass produced stuffs looks and compare it. Most, including myself like the part 7 Rubies undermask. Which works great, even though it is no vengeance. I also like the Rubies plastic Freddy glove (realistic) which is what I have to use for public events mostly. I enjoy the expensive stuff, which I do have some of now, but it takes a long time to save up. So I just get something to keep me occupied that maybe I can make better until I do have enough money for the better stuff. With 9 other hobbies or so it is tough. This is not my only hobby, and I actually enjoy collecting all kinds of various products, some great some OK. But as time goes I spend more money ultimately, and am very careful with I buy, which is why I ask a lot of questions first as opposed to having buyer's remorse like many here do. I have not had ONE disappointment yet, so I am doing pretty good so far. Most stuff I like to make if I can, but do not have the time for a lot of it. I did not skimp on my DMC sweater and mask, and I am glad for that; and can't wait for the maggot head and some day the vengeance. Predator is not a primary project right now, just looking for ideas for the future. Who knows maybe I will have enough free cash by that time for the better stuff. But as a costumer I do not exactly need the heavy stuff, although lightweight replicas would be nice.

Most are not dedicated enough to want such a realitic costume or display year-round, they just want a cool enough costume for Halloween and that is it. Many even then throw it up on eBay the next day. I would prefer top of the line becaus it is a serious hobby for me, but one of many. If only I had a money tree...But for the most part I now save for the expensive stuff, but still look for deals even on that.

The rubies stuff looks bad mate, even that picture looks bad, you can pick up a lot better than that but you will need to pay a bit more.A good quality blank mask will cost you around $200 and it's because they are good sculpts and the latex is about 10 x thicker than the mass produced masks which is why they are more expensive.a full suit will cost you around $2000 - $3000 depending on how good the quality is and who the maker of the stuff is.if you want a budget costume that looks good I'd give the Predator a miss untill you have the funds to do it proper.I can fix you up with a mask at a good price and I know Frosty has molds for a complete suit what has all the armour sculpted into it which will save you a lot of money compared to buying all the parts seperately.hope that helps mate <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />
