Where Can I Find Liquid Latex - Last Man Standing - 08-03-2008
Is there any buyable liquid latex in stores around the country or do I have to buy it at Monster Makers.com? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":confused:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" /> Same question for Gypsum cement. Thanks

depends on where you live actually. You may be able to find latex at a costume shop or party supply store. The problem with that is they usually do not carry mask latex. If you are looking for make up latex, then they will most likely have that, but may not have the quantity you want. The gypsum cement can sometimes be found at places like home depot and lowes. If you have a big local builder supply store, they tend to carry it as well. Again, it depends upon where you live and honestly the size of your area. I live in the second largest county and city in Alabama, and i cannot find either. Other people on here can just run down the road and find it...take care,Tommy

I wasn't hoping to go to ebay so that is a bust. Ok so heres what I'm going to do i'll order latex from Monster makers and look for gypsum cement at home depot because there's so many around me so thanks everbody for the suggestion. And Thanks Tommy for the gypsum cement suggestion. Thats what you use for the mask making right? or is it something else .Enjoy,Rob

gypsum plaster to be specific. I have only made molds from good old industrial grade plaster of paris. Most mask makers, however, will tell you it's not the best thing to use. The reason for this is because regular old plaster of paris will not hold fine details as long as some of the better plasters will. But...i have hands molds and whatnot made 3 years ago that still cast just fine. Then again, i don't make hundreds of hands with them either...lol... Ultracal and Hydrocal are the two industry plasters that alot of people use.....take care,Tommy
