here is what they put on there forum. Most recurring board members may have noticed a lack of updates lately regarding HorrorHound Weekend. There has been a good reason for this. Various problems have posed themselves to us over the past month pertaining to our upcoming Detroit convention, which was scheduled for the weekend of October 24-26th. Due to issues, which cannot currently be fully discussed, we have been forced to postpone the planned-event which was set to be our sixth such event in just two years. Working through a problem this past two weeks with our hotel in Ypsilanti, we have been forced to move the show date to an unspecified June 2009 date (to be finalized shortly). This move, while extremely unfortunate and ill timed, does allow us the ability to focus on some issues the event has maintained in hopes of tweaking potential weaknesses to the event as it currently stood. Everyone who pre-ordered tickets will have the options of either receiving a full refund, or the ability to utilize the ticket for the rescheduled date (again, TBA) or as admission into the upcoming March Indianapolis HorrorHound show. We will be sending emails explaining this postponement and said options to those with tickets within the next week - but you can also contact us at weekend@horrorhound.com if you wish to immediately request a refund, as we will attempt to do so in a timely fashion. We do not have word on whether or not the guest list will remain 100% intact as of yet, as some of the scheduled guests may have conflicts with our new date. In October the HorrorHound Weekend website will receive a 100% overhaul with information pertaining to the March Indy show (which is in no danger of being rescheduled, before anyone asks) and the Detroit show. We apologize for this action - the people behind HorrorHound Weekend (Re-Evolution Management, Bloody-Disgusting.com and HorrorHound Magazine) strive for excellence and such set-backs diminish our intentions of helping bring new and exciting shows to the marketplace. We hope you understand and support our move to 2009.
