A Question For Mask Makers - Last Man Standing - 01-02-2009 I've got the Monster Makers kit and the handbook says to spray your finished sculpt with a Krylon crystal clear before I mold the sculpt. My question is do you need to spray your piece with a clear coat like that or do you just start molding without it?Thanks Rob A Question For Mask Makers - Homicidal#9 - 01-02-2009 the whole purpose of spraying the sculpt with crystal clear is to help when de-molding. The coating keeps the clay sticking into the mold to a minimum. I swear there is a separate level in hell full of molds that need to have clay scrubbed, picked, brushed, pulled, and washed out of them...take care,Tommy A Question For Mask Makers - deadthing74 - 01-02-2009 <!--quoteo(post=290867:date=Jan 2 2009, 11:59 AM:name=Homicidal#9)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(Homicidal#9 @ Jan 2 2009, 11:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecthe whole purpose of spraying the sculpt with crystal clear is to help when de-molding. I've never tried it. Has anyone on here ever used it?-Bill A Question For Mask Makers - Fettster - 01-02-2009 <!--quoteo(post=290876:date=Jan 2 2009, 07:33 PM:name=deadthing74)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(deadthing74 @ Jan 2 2009, 07:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI've heard that if you spray Krylon DULLING SPRAY over the Crystal Clear that its supposed to keep any of that clear coat from transfering to the mold.
