I'm not against an idea of a NOES remake... It will be refreshing and I'm sure it will get back to a dark atmosphere... I loved the TCM remake and Friday the 13th looks amazing. Secondly, I better see a remake than nothing... right now Freddy is dead and he has become a joke over the past movies so I better see something new and dark about the character... this is just my opinion so I'm looking forward to see this baby...A NOES remake means one thing for sure... a new glove <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />Thanks for the link

Wonder why Robert does not want to return as Fred?

Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Update! - TheChosenOne - 02-08-2009

I'm not sure if I'm for or against the idea of remaking another horror classis, but I'll be first in line opening night, that's for sure. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />A remake doesn't ruin the original in any way. And the more I think about it, a remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street could actually be really interesting. I guess it would be cool seeing a new take on the Freddy Krueger character.

I want a new take on the Freddy Krueger character, and with Robert playing him, it would just be the same old Freddy that we all know (and love). Now, if they were doing a <b>sequel</b>, then I'd want Robert to play Freddy.

Robert's done it 8 times, and more if you count that show. I think he wants something else to work with.Honestly, I'm okay with them making a remake. I only enjoyed a couple of the films anyways. This will be a good way to refresh back to the good ones (parts one and two). Make Freddy EVIL again! I'm excited to see who the get to play him.Not to mention, a new glove design! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"^_^\" border=\"0\" alt=\"happy.gif\" />

Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Update! - ColdBlooded Killer - 02-08-2009

I'm cool with Englund not playing Freddy. He hasn't really been Freddy since part 2. Part 3 and up he's playing the character of Rodney Dangerfield with a razor glove. I know this isn't his fault, but after all those one-liners, it's hard to take Freddy serious with him in the role. I think he needs a new face to go with his "new" scarier image.

Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Update! - TheChosenOne - 02-08-2009

YES, we need a serious, dark and menacing Freddy this time around. Drop the stupid one-lines an make him scary again!
