Convention Safe Vs Machete - Rahl - 03-09-2009

With all the talk nowadays about fake machetes and conventions, I thought I would try my hand at a safe non-metal one to take to conventions like the upcoming MM on Saturday.Took me a couple of hours to do today but not that bad work wise. Here's some pictures. Let me know what you all think.<img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC05743.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC05744.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC05745.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

looks great man, what is it made of? looks great, and it Looks just like metal

It's made of wood. I found a cool metallic spray paint and sanded between the three coats. Then I added a coat of black, sanded, and then polyurethaned it. Sanded it again, and then added black acrylic hobby paint and then sanded that off to make the scuff marks.
