With the release of Resident Evil 5 only an hour away, I figured I'd post this up for anyone who loves this series as much as I do. Capcom mentioned a few weeks ago that fans of Resident Evil 2 were about to be very happy, and alas its not a REMAKE but another game like Umbrella Chronicles....which means its a shooter like House of the Dead again. I'm disappointed to say the least, but super excited because I've been wanting a remade RE2 for about 10 years now. Cool find, looks decent, too bad it's only for the Wii. I am a HUGE RE2 fan and like you was waiting for a remake.Is it just me or does RE2 have the best soundtrack ever?And you would think Kendo would have learned by now not to stand next to huge windows during a zombie outbreak!

Looks cool as hell. Resident Evil 2 is definitely one of the best and most fun games I've ever played on PlayStation (One).

Yeah it definantly looks great but unfortunantly it's for the Wii and so far the only games on Wii that interest me are this and the first Umbrella Chronicles and I can't justify spending $250 for a sysem and get only 2 games. On the plus side RE5 is out today and I can't wait to pick up my copy!

I bought a Wii JUST for the Umbrella Chronicles and RE4: Wii edition. What can I say, fanboy to the extreme lol. Speaking of RE5, just got home with it so time to go play!!Reasons for buying the systems

What extra goodies did you get with it? My opinion is eh, it's the most beautiful game I've ever played, but all its just RE4 with Chris. I reaaaaaaaaaaally hate having a teamate/co op crap.....that doesnt belong in these games dammit.

RE0 had co-op and it is one of my personal favorites so it's not a completely new concept. I just picked up RE5 this morning and so far I'm fairly impressed. While the controls will take some getting used to it's nothing a little of experience can't handle. AI Sheva at least for me so far has been more helpfull than not. My biggest complaint is there is no creepyness to this game. Even RE4 has it's moments but not once have I felt creeped out or at a disadvantage which imho is very important for an RE game. The graphics are splendid however and some of the best I've seen to date on any console. While I've yet to complete the game, so far as I said I'm mostly impressed.
