Home Movie Theater Help. - ZombieTom - 04-18-2009 My Brother (ZombieKev) is turning his basement into an authentic style movie theater. 100" HD projector, popcorn machine. The works.I told him I would help with the on screen experience by putting together trailers, animations, and old Fashioned "Lets all go to the Lobby" style shorts.I'm looking for two things:I need a recommendation on some software I can use to splice videos together and create simple animations.I need a resource for old style movie theater lobby and intermission videos. Youtube has them, but if you take them from that site you lose so much quality.Any help would be great. Home Movie Theater Help. - bornoffire - 04-18-2009 If you have a pc, Sony Vegas is the best Video Editor out there but not the only. I used Ulead Video Editor for years before switching over. Final Cut is the best Editor for Mac (so I've been told.) For animation, it really depends on what you want to do (Alias/Wavefront (Maya) and 3D Studio Max to name a few). As far as lobby and intermission videos, you could always go to your local Drive-in and ask to speak to a manager. Thats a start. Home Movie Theater Help. - Homicidal#9 - 04-19-2009 you could always just use powerpoint to animate and make your own slide style intermissions. I know you said that youtube quality isn't that good...but then again, the intermission cartoons and whatnot weren't that great of quality. I have a addon that allows me to dl them from youtube in high quality if that would help. Finally, you can go to amazon.com and check out their intermission stuff. THere are entire dvd collections of theater and drive in intermission videos.http://www.moviesunlimited.com/musite/product.asp?sku=D62327http://www.5drivein.com/videos.phptake care,Tommy Home Movie Theater Help. - Patsmear - 04-19-2009 or.... you could make your own. How cool would it be to have Jason,Leatherface, Freddy and Mike, getting out of their cars and going up to the popcorn stand and getting stuff.I can see it now, ending the shot with a dead girl in the car next to Freddy, as he eats gummy bears off the points of his glove.Pat Home Movie Theater Help. - ZombieTom - 04-19-2009 <!--quoteo(post=309851:date=Apr 18 2009, 08:00 PM:name=Homicidal#9)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE (Homicidal#9 @ Apr 18 2009, 08:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI know you said that youtube quality isn't that good...but then again, the intermission cartoons and whatnot weren't that great of quality.
