Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - travsall - 05-03-2009 It is awesome to finally be done with this dude, had the kit for months and today I put the finishing touches on it! Been sitting in my workshop half done for a long time, got the motivation to get back to it again, and I'm (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) glad I did! This is a Horizon's Bram Stoker's Dracula wolf beast I snagged off ebay, along with the bat beast, which is still on my work table I am pretty pleased with how this turned out, the skin tones took a while to perfect, so did the depth in the fur, many washes and dry brushes. The stand I'm almost as proud of as the rest of the figure, simple but came out great! Small piece of MDF I routered the edges, then glued some pressed moss to. (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) fun kit! Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - travsall - 05-03-2009 Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - crazydog500 - 05-03-2009 Amazing Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - LeatherfaceFan07 - 05-03-2009 Looks great Travis! Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - monteburns - 05-03-2009 Amazing paint up on your Horizon Dracula.I have always thought that many of these kits have superior sculpts and when finished look even better than factory pre-painted statues.I am a big fan of Horizon's many great sculpts and also enjoy painting their kits.Thx for sharing. Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - souleater666 - 05-03-2009 looks sick Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - travsall - 05-04-2009 Thanks a lot guys! Factory paint work can be excellent, depending on the company, and the resources they have, and the price point of the piece, but they are done by automated machines still. Painting by hand, done right, gives so much more depth, and character to a piece. Horizon did some fantastic kits! Between them and Screamin there are a lotta (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) nice horror kits out there!Got a good start on the bat beast already, so hopefully soon I'll be able to post that! Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - Patsmear - 05-04-2009 Very Nice! I think I still have the Bat Creature somewhere. What do they go for on ebay?Oh and if you want to round out the set, I have a Dracula in Armor kit in the garage!Pat Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - mperaginejr - 05-04-2009 really nice work man, looks fantastic, looking forward to seeing the bat beast!!! Dracula Wolf Beast Model Kit - travsall - 05-05-2009 They vary on ebay, I got my two for under $15 from Thailand *cringes* I know, but how else do you get out of print kits from a defunct company. Actually yeah I would love to get Drac in armor, that would be fun as hell to paint up! I'll drop ya a pm on that Pat! |
