Hey everyone.. I just got a Tweet back from Brad Fuller and I asked him how much different the final script was from the leaked version from January 2009. He said it wound up being very different and had gone through many revisions. Let's hear your ideas! For those of you who have read the leaked script, what are the top three things you'd like to see changed and kept the same?Here's my list of wanted changes:1. Keep it timeless - Remove Guitar Hero reference. Change it to a game of pool or something. Remove "google-fu" reference.2. refrain from referring to "sleep" or "dreams" where it becomes exsessive. Example, Dean's funeral... Priest says, "Eternal dream" to describe his resting place. Dean says "Who says I sleep"? at his party. The energy drink they use to stay awake says "Who needs sleep?" on the can.3. Get rid of the "Dream Map". Show the "Tree of Crows" in Nancy's dream or something and then have her recognize it by chance or something to discover the path to the Preschool.Tied for 3rd. Make the final fight between Nancy and Freddy longer and more spontaneous. No cliche shovel bashing while calling out her friend's names and no victorious one-liners like "Watch me."Things to keep:1. Above all... keep the concept of "micro-napping". FANTASTIC idea for a Freddy film!2. Kris' death. Wouldn't change a thing!3. Freddy appearing in the back seat of the car. An awesome scare if done right!

PLEASE no cliche' lines such as "Say hello to mommy for me... IN HELL!" I nearly threw up... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":unsure:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" /> Keep it REALISTIC as far as dialog goes.And I'd have to agree, make it timeless... I'd rather it take place in 1984 anyways haha.

Please.... please make sure your comments actually contribute to this thread. Start your own thread to express your displeasure over this remake. This thread is for those who actually want to see a remake of NOES done. That way it actually stays on topic instead of getting hijacked.

i haven't read the leaked script so i wouldn't know what to change or keep but i like the idea of Freddy in the back seat of a car . first thing that came to mind was leatherface when he stuck the saw through the seat as nobody really expected to see something like that . and def. toss the GH out for sure <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> . but i REALLY don't like that comment about Brad jumping off a cliff <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"<_<\" border=\"0\" alt=\"dry.gif\" /> . very tasteless if you ask me mike,

Umm, well I didnt read the whole of the early script because I dont want to spoil this film for myself. I did think having a guitar hero scene would be bad so hopefully thats gone. I agree with you Mark that the dialogue should be kept as realistic as possible and certainly no victorious cliched one liners. I hope this film will be good as I am a huge Freddy fan. I hope there are some cameos for either Robert Englund, Johnny Depp, John Saxon, or Wes Craven, that would be sweet.
