How Do I Get Started? - The Dreadnaught - 09-10-2009

Well i've been on the forums a while and love this place to death. I've always been creative and a hobbiest and I think its time I finnally break into this hobby. I am obsessive compulsive when it comes to the little details of the Jason masks, and I have a lot of trouble finding any to buy that fit my needs. A ton of people on here are making beautiful masks (Some that look better then the actual movie masks) but I always seem to find something on them that I deem inaccurate, which leaves only one thing, for me to do my own. My question for you guys is, how do I go about starting? I have no clue what kind of paints to buy, do you guys airbrush a lot of stuff? Or just hand brush it? Are there any price concious kits I should order? I cant afford anything fancy. Just looking for general tips on how to get started, what kinds of paints, how to do things like add scratches ect. Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Reference for others aswell...Part 3, 4, 5, and 6 were on a clear blank. You can get that at Frightstuff.http://store.frightstuff.com/shared/StoreF...et=products.aspYou can drill the wholes and cut the eyes to the specifications of each film. This paint is good for Part 3/4. You will need to spray the inside white first. The reason people use Fusion is because it fuses to plastic while regular krylon can sometimes drip or run or bubble up.http://paint-and-supplies.hardwarestore.co...int-620020.aspxGoodluck,
