since jason is afraid of the water then how is he capable to submerge himself underwater? For example, in part 8 jason follows rennie and the others to NYC by swimming or walking underwater but in the end, dies by remembering himself drowning. Also in FvJ jason stopped attacking freddy after a wall of water is front of him but in the end of the movie, jason is seen walking out of the water!!!!! i dont get it!!!

Jason goes in the water in (F1), F4, F6, F7, and F8. Freddy VS Jason is just a bad movie. I like to ignore it as much as I can, but it's just one of those like Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X you just have to live with.

The movie rationalizes it as a deep subconscious kinda thing. Jason's not afraid of water, except in his innermost subconscious.

I though they meant, When Jason is "Dreaming or Sleeping" he is scared of water, becuause they say he drowned in water. But when he's awake, he not scared of anything, besides his Mother.J
