"sparking" Freddy Glove (2010 Design) - TheHauntedMuseum - 05-08-2010 Hey guys, thought you would enjoy this. I parterned up with a good friend of mine and created this "sparking glove". We will actually be making these to order, and they fit very nicely under a Freddy costume. They are "plug and play" and work exactly the same way as seen in the new film! Let me know what you think :-)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEsJk2jCLk4Rich "sparking" Freddy Glove (2010 Design) - IbDaToNeGuY - 05-08-2010 Sweet man , i've been after something like this for a long time but nobody ever made any . any idea on a price yet ? These are EXTREMELY well priced at only $299 + shipping. From what I have seen, gloves without these features sell in this range, so we think this is very fair. This package comes with a fully functional 2010 replica, which is highly accurate to the film (with the option of a screen accurate wrist clasp or a more convenient "snap" wrist clasp if accuracy is not your thing, but functionality is. This way, you can actually get in and out of it very easily, without twisting that bolt every time), custom wiring and "twist and lock" connectors which get you in and out of the set up, and a car battery charger. You will need a car battery but this is something that is best picked up on your own, and is too costly to ship. My partner is a special effects technition and he is doing all the custom wiring on these. The clamps on the battery cables are also extremely user friendly!Oh, you saw me at Horrorhound? Nice! That was a fun show!RichI am mis-informed. The set-up actually retails for $450 (which is what it is listed for on www.thehorrormuseum.com at this time), however, NIGHTOWL members will receive the special price of $299 + shipping as listed above. If anyone has any questions, let me know. One might think it is a relatively easy set-up to create, but it is actually quite challenging to create this safely, user-friendly, and repeatable (which is what the "twist and lock" connectors are for). For those who have tried this effect on their own, they often just wrap copper around a bolt or something similar, but the set-up cannot be easily removed, or packed away. The "twist and lock" method allows the glove to go with you on break, or for a cig, lets say, and the the set-up to remain intact until you return. Once you are finished, simply twist it back in (it can be done with one hand in fact), and you are ready to go again. I will post closer photos of the actual connectors so you understand how this set-up is actually created. :-) "sparking" Freddy Glove (2010 Design) - ianfxmen - 05-08-2010 that is a verry cool effect "sparking" Freddy Glove (2010 Design) - puckface - 05-08-2010 nice. we did the same thing in our haunt a few years back with our freddy scene. When we were at this past show, people told us all sorts of things that they did. Some were typical of what we expected. Some were downright crazy lol. :-)Rich "sparking" Freddy Glove (2010 Design) - Mutilated - 05-08-2010 That is the coolest thing I've ever seen. If anyone would like to order, you will have to give me your paypal address and I will send an individual bill to get you the special price. For the $299, it comes with 10 feet of chord on the "glove" side, and 10 feet of chord on the "battery" side. If you need more chord on either side, the cost is $2 per foot on either side. Most people need more chord on the "glove" side, if they plan on moving around more, say in a 20 foot scare zone or so. So, if additional chord is needed, factor that in and let me know. Hope that helpsRichIm actually going to get some more video of the glove in action today, and post it, along with some description of how the connectors work "sparking" Freddy Glove (2010 Design) - TheHauntedMuseum - 05-08-2010 Check out this one. We did it with a chainsaw as well. The chainsaw is completely custom made! We thought that since the chainsaws used in haunts are typically just plain chainsaws with the chains removed, we would do something different.
