Does anyone know if there was ever any clarity as to why Tony Timpone left the mag back in 2010? I remember there was a minor alert as to a slight change in direction for the magazine a couple of years ago (to be honest, I\'ve left my readership of the magazine several years ago), but when I picked up a magazine on a whim tonight, I started to wonder again as to why Timpone left.
As I typed his name into a Google search, the phrase "Tony Timpone fired" came up - which of course - doesn\'t mean it happened, but it does mean other horror fans have asked the same question. Nonetheless, I have found nothing other than he departed the mag in Feb 2010.
Does anyone know the full story?

From what I remember and what I have found, He is still working for the magazine, just in a different capacity. I know he had a blog on the fangoria site that he last updated in august 2011. He is also still listed as part of the fangoria staff. He is listed as follows:
Tony Timpone, Editor Emeritus; FANGORIA FrightFest acquisitions; Fangoria.com editorial supervisor
As to why he left the HWIC (head weirdo in charge) position, I do not know...

The change in leadership hasn\'t stopped the decline of the quality, IMHO. It\'s a subscription I\'m looking to cancel when it runs out in December.
