Clay - kirk myers - 01-30-2005 What clay will not hardin, water based or oil based. Need to know, i might buy some clay and start my first sculpture. Any information will help, thanks. Clay - ssj4freddy - 01-30-2005 WED clay is the best. Water based can not be reused and turns into an almost stone like substance. Oil needs to be heated and can give off fumes. Clay - kirk myers - 01-30-2005 Where can I get some WED clay at? Clay - kirk myers - 01-30-2005 nevermind, found some ![]() Clay - VF31 - 01-30-2005 i personally am not a fan of WED, i reccomend it for the elite sculpter, who will sculpture and mold pretty much in 1 or 2 days.....just not a fan of babysitting it so it wont dry up and crack, and fall apart....cuz it will. oil based can be reused, and although takes a bit to get going, is worth it, u can take all the time in the free world, and it will look just like how u left it when u come back to it... I have been using it for a while and it is a top choice by sculptors who take their time. It\'s only about $4.00 for a 2lb block. You\'ll need about 20-30lbs to do a good full sized sculpture on a human sized armature. Clay - kirk myers - 01-31-2005 Thanks Warlock. ![]() |
