well i found it the history of the hockey masks in a canadian horror tribute in rue morgue #41 heres the tidbit
- "Many canadian crew members, including 3-d supervisor Jay sadoff, first suggested that Jason Voorhees don a hockey mask for friday the 13th part 3: 3-d (1982) as a tribute still worn today to canada\'s national sport
so yes this is the history of jasons hockey mask and yes without canada jason would be wearing something else
