Button Snaps - Golgo 13 - 03-21-2005

I just recieved a mask and I thought I\'d strap it myself, but I can\'t figure out how to attach the snaps. I understand which part goes with which with the mask (or strap) in between, but how do they stay clamp together? Looking at some of my other masks, it seems the post on the male part gets smashed down to clamp it together. How is this accomplished? Do I need a tool? Any help is appreciated.

Super Glue

the pack of snaps should have come with rod-like piece of metal that you place on top the the male end and hammer. this spread the metal out in order to keep the two pieces together. to put them on your mask, if there are no holes in the mask, you will need to drill them, place the male through the mask, and the snap itself over that, on the top of the mask. hammer down and there ya go.

I got the snaps with the mask, so I didn\'t get the little punch. I guess I\'ll use a nail or something. Thanks for the tip. Smile

Golgo I\'m sorry I didn\'t get back to you sooner!! Yeah, you simply put the front through the back and hamer that bitch down. You can use a setter pin and anvil or just about anything. Let me know if you have problems with it and I\'ll try to help out anyway that I can.

never use friggin super glue that would be the worst thing you can do
is the Hockey Mask is thin then you can use snaps (just read the directions on the back)
but it does not work for thicker masks and will end up being a major pain in the ass, i highly reccomend using pop rivets, i think you can get a rivet gun for 13 dollars, not to expencive and worth it
