The Man Of Your Dreams - Ol#39; Chop Top - 05-04-2005

Same idea as Mikes threads. But i think there also should be one for the man of our dreams.... aka Fred Krugger.
This is how it goes for me, every few months or so we would go up to my aunt and uncles place to visit. This was back in the days of bayta machines hehehe.
To explain to the younger members of the forum Bayta was the machine that was around before the VCR. Anywho, one day i discovered ANOES. Changed my whole life, i was about 5 or 6 at the time. From then on, everytime whe\'d visit at my aunt and uncles place. I would beg them to watch it again, and again, and again. Until one day i asked and they said that it had broken. I believed them at the time, but now i know that it was all a lie... All a lie to end the Nightmare.

I remember putting nails in my dads leather gloves trying to replicate Freddy\'s glove

Those were a blur to me...though I think I saw part 1 first. And yeah, I had a Beta too, so I know what that\'s all about! Still have it with some tapes!!! Anyway, I skipped part 2 for the liongest time. I was big into 3 and 4, though, and I remember running around with aluminum foil wrapped around my fingers thinking I was Freddy...those were the days. I rented part 5,a nd then saw part 6 in the theaters...which was way cool as it was in 3D Smile And I never did see the Final Nightmare... Yeah, Freddy was a big part of my horror fix growing up...not as big as Myers or Jason, but still damn cool!

I saw the first one first, wasn\'t terribly impressed with it. Saw most of the rest and didn\'t really care for them either. Part 3 was pretty cool though.

I love hearing first glove storys. I made my first glove when I was 7 I believe. Made the tempetle out of thin cardboard, paper fastners for the rivits, and cut down pieces of protracter for the blades. Rapped that all in aluminum foil and hot glued it to one of my old mans work gloves. Needles to say my dad was mad for ruining his glove, my mom was made for using her hot glue/foil, and my sister never found out about the protracter. Big Grin

I can remember laying down on the couch and my father putting something in the V.C.R. My dad told me to go in the other room because it would be to scary for me. Well I told him no and whined alot so that he would let me stay. Before he turned it on he told me that it was all fake and none of it was real. Well I didn\'t stay in the room too long I got so scared. The whole night I couldn\'t go to sleep cause all I heard was the screeechin sound of his claws!

I saw the uncut version of Part 1 and 2 when I was 3. Actually had good dreams with Freddy in them after that.(I thought the scene with Freddy coming out of the boy was the coolest.)

Oh man I can BARELY remember the first time I saw an aneos movie. I would have to say it was part 2, when I was still in first grade. Than it was part 3, 4, and 1 I believe. I didn\'t end up seeing pt. 5 and 6 for like another year. O yeah I saw pt. 7 when it came out Smile
