House Of 1000 Corpses - Eddie - 04-27-2004 I think all the hype around here about this film was before I first joined, so I\'m just curious what your thoughts were on it. I personally thought it was kind of a TCM spin off, but I liked it. Captain Spaulding was funny as hell, and it sure had some pretty sick stuff. Awesome flick. Eddie House Of 1000 Corpses - EverythingJason - 04-27-2004 One of the most brilliant Horrorfilms made in years! Rob Zombie brought the feel back on the big screen that most so called "Horror" films today are missing. I can\'t wait for devils rejects which is supposed to take it up a notch! House Of 1000 Corpses - Indica x - 04-27-2004 it was a pretty decent horror flick, not the best but definately not the worst. the red guy who spits up babyfood looked cool ![]() House Of 1000 Corpses - Jason-V - 04-27-2004 it was wicked! House Of 1000 Corpses - Krypt Kreeper - 04-27-2004 It was OK, I wasn\'t too impressed with HO1000C, it\'s too much of a rip off on TCM for my liking and I don\'t know what all the hype was about. I can\'t wait for devils rejects which is supposed to take it up a notch!Yeah, I noticed a lot of old school horror elements in it. Hell, I thought even the cover art looked pretty 70\'s/80\'s style. I liked that, too. Eddie House Of 1000 Corpses - SkeletonMurderer - 04-27-2004 DOCTOR SATAN IS MY SAVIOR! House Of 1000 Corpses - TheChosenOne - 04-27-2004 It was totally awesome. House Of 1000 Corpses - travsall - 04-27-2004 I liked it a lot, I thought Rob did a helluva job! Yeah it did take a lot of influence and ideas from TCM, The Hills Have Eyes, and many other movies, but I liked the omages, Rob paying tribute to some of his favs. It had just a fantastic retro feeling and look to it, Rob was shooting for the classic 70\'s horror and I think he got it very well! I loved the characters, Bill Mosely was in his best role since Chop Top, Otis was a great, really added so much to the dynamic and flow. Capt. Spaulding was that asshole you can\'t help but love, and Sig Haig was absolutly PERFECT for that role!! Best analogy I can think to describe it is TCM 2 directed by Quentin Tarintino, produced by Oliver Stone, what what\'s not to love there?!?!? House Of 1000 Corpses - Luis Cyphre - 04-27-2004 I didn\'t find it the least bit scary, but it was a decent homage to \'70\'s-style horror films. It was like a breath of fresh air after all the Scream ripoffs that Hollywood had been churning out. Definitely worth a rental, especially if you get the DVD. Can\'t wait for The Devil\'s Rejects! |
