So, I\'ve heard numerous times that this board is being replaced with Monsters & Madmen and won\'t be around much longer. Is this just gossip? An idea? Or is there an actual set date that it\'s going to switch over?

Well, you\'re partially right. The NIGHTOWL board will still exist, but only for NIGHTOWL Products and Classifieds. The Off Topic forum will no longer exist as we will ask people to start posting over at Monsters and Madmen. The transition should be fairly easy as everyone\'s accounts here should work with the Monsters and Madmen site already....
The main reason for this is because, well, this is a NIGHTOWL board. Though it\'s great that there are so many members that come here regularly, it\'s gotten away from being just NIGHTOWL products. So, Monsters and Madmen was created not only as a place dedicated to our love for mask collecting and all things horror, but also as a neutral place for people to go to and talk about anybody\'s stuff.
As far as when that will take place...very soon. I\'ve been saying that for awhile, I know, but the transition is nearly complete. The next incarnation of the Monsters and Madmen site should be done in a couple weeks (barring any major kinks), at which point we will \"relaunch\" it and make the message board transition. It\'s been slow going as we all have our own companies to run, not to mention families, etc. but we have been working on it, I can tell you that.
My only hope is that it is worth the wait. The new site will have all sorts of features and it will be much easier to keep updated on a regular basis. I hope to continually add features and functions as time goes on so it becomes a complete horror experience for every fan.

From what I understand, you\'ll be able to login and keep your current post count as well.
However, I\'m just the resident screen cap goober so what do I know? It\'s not quite working yet, I just tried to login and the site actually laughed at me.

Thank god!!!!!!!!!!!! no more leechers. and sales to justin\'s competition(for lack of a better word) on HIS board. M&M is a welcomed change. Ill be sorry tl see this forum go, but it IS DEFINATLY FOR THE BEST!!!
