Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - null1 - 11-18-2005 **EDIT** Thanks for all the help and advice! Got it worked out Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - Last_of_the_Brunnen-G - 11-18-2005 The website looks fine for what it is about. Informative and well-organized. Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - myers-san - 11-18-2005 Yes it is very very informative and llooks very professional!!!!...I however would like to see some more vibrant color instead of the turquiose....the overall site is very well thought out and you did a great job. J- Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - Cryptoys.com - 11-18-2005 Mark, it\'s great but it\'s too wide. Look at other professional commerce sites and see the widths they are using. Look at ebay and others and you know they have done their research for widths so model it after their widths. No one wants to side scroll to see things and you will lose them at that point. Other than that don\'t change it, it pops and is organized. Jason Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - Pugsly - 11-18-2005 Looks good to me mark........ Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - null1 - 11-18-2005 myers-san, any color preference?? I had blue but my wife said it should match the logo design.. Cryptoys, or anyone else.... Is there a code or script to \'resize\' according to the users screen resolution?? That\'s the problem.... I\'m set on a high resolution so it looks fine on my PC....... Anyone know this???? Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - SPAZ - 11-18-2005 o wow way to much to read   Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - Cryptoys.com - 11-18-2005 Quote:myers-san, any color preference?? Jason Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - null1 - 11-18-2005 Well what the hell are you sitting here typing for man, dig it up! Dig it up!! Does it resize the .jpg as well or just tables??? I\'m so lost. There are a TON of frikkin tables in there  Give Me Some Advice On This One Please - Cryptoys.com - 11-18-2005 Quote:Well what the hell are you sitting here typing for man, dig it up! Dig it up!! What an ass. Anyway here\'s your fricken code. The jpg.s have to be set at the size you want them, resizing to a browser is really not a good idea. It screws with pics and layout and on some screens makes the page look really bad. That\'s why I don\'t know the code by heart. The screen size you should set for is 800x600 pixels. My site is slightly larger than that, most peoples screens are larger, 84% of the population have larger screens but I still wouldn\'t want to alienate 16% of my visitors. This requires Java script, and some people have it disabled and some companies require it to be disabled. Also I am not guaranteeing this too work, website design as you know are far from an exact science. Jason <!-- In the head section of the page <script> <!-- function wopen(url, name, w, h) { // Fudge factors for window decoration space. // In my tests these work well on all platforms & browsers. w += 32; h += 96; var win = window.open(url, name, \'width=\' + w + \', height=\' + h + \', \' + \'location=no, menubar=no, \' + \'status=no, toolbar=no, scrollbars=no, resizable=no\'); win.resizeTo(w, h); win.focus(); } // </script> |
